Nice! Did you tape or paint it?Added racing stripes to my Fender J/P Mustang.
OK, I am officially in love. Got a new Player Mustang PJ a few weeks ago. Initially swapped the stock strings for flats, Hipshot bridge and then today just added Ultralite tuners. (or at least my luthier did).
Neck dive gone- and this thing plays like butter. Great sustain and love the P tone. I'm excited to see how it performs at my band rehearsal this week. This will be our 2nd meet up- we play 90s alternative.
I'm old (will be 60 this year) but still really a struggling novice bass player since I got started so late. (about 3 and a half years ago). Hard to put into words, but this Mustang gives me confidence because it just sounds so damn good and is a blast to play!
Hey all. I put my player mustang P/J up for sale if anyone is looking. For Sale - Fender Player Mustang
Does anyone know any lightweight replacement tuners for my Mustang? Its a little head heavy and I think a tuner swap would make it more comfortable to play. I'm OK with drilling new holes to mount the tuners, but I don't want to have to enlarge the tuner peg holes. Thanks.

You can get tinted wood filler to hide the existing screw holes. Doesn’t look bad. The Ultra-Lites also tune slightly better than the stock tuners (21-1 ratio vs. 20-1)I ordered the hipshot ultralights. Will post when they get here and I install them.
For anyone who has replaced the pickguard on their recent Squier Classic Vibe Mustang - where did you get it? I have a surf green one and really want to change the white pickguard but would prefer not to remove the original and mail it off somewhere - thanks!
I don't have a Squier, but I've ordered a couple of Pickguards from this seller. one for my PJ Mustang bass and one for my JMJM. Everything fits perfectly. I'd recommend them.
Replacement pickguard for Squier Classic Vibe 60s Mustang Bass CV, many colors! | eBay
I got the pearl pickguard on Reverb from Precision Guitar. See message #4149, 2 pages back. For anyone who has replaced the pickguard on their recent Squier Classic Vibe Mustang - where did you get it?
Looks like Precision Guitar might be a good choice - anyone order one of their tortoise guards by chance and can comment on the color or look.
