You did a nice job on that - have to admit I might have a bit of a crush on that PJ.

Hi !
I would like to add a bridge pickup on my Fender Mustang Bass JMJ Signature...
- GIBSON EB STYLE PU-0419-010 Bass Humbucking Pickup Bridge
PU-0419-010 Bass Humbucking Pickup Bridge
or
- HOFNER STYLE PU-6420-010 Chrome Pickup for Hofner Style Bass
PU-6420-010 Chrome Pickup for Hofner Style Bass
or
- CURTIS NOVAK H22 Goldfoil Bridge Pickup
H22 Goldfoil
or
- SEREK B90 Single-Coil Bass Pickup
Adjustable B90 Single Bass Pickups - Serek Basses
or
- Blade Bridge Pickup (EMG, Bartolini, JBE, Nordstrand, Lollar...)
Etc... I don't know!?
I don't want to add pots or switches, no push-pull and not move the jack on the edge, no side jack hole !
Simple and effective, I just want to have the 2 pickups working together constantly to have a little more "snap" in my sound and to exist more in a mix, especially live !
I would like the Mustang Bass split coil pickup and the additional bridge pickup to work together permanently and in parallel mode, is this possible and what do you think, please ?
Pickup ? Wiring ? Output ? String spacing issues ?
Thanks.
May the Groove be with you.
Hi friends !
I'm looking for small vintage-correct pickups covers for Mustang Bass... Those with the line on !
Do you know if this model is for imported basses or vintage basses, please ? Do you know the size ? Is this still available ?
- Genuine Fender Mustang Bass Split Coil Pickups Covers Set 0057829000 / UPC 717669173500.
Who makes pickups covers for vintage Mustang Bass ? Where can I find some, please ?
Thanks.

Does anyone have any ideas for how I can change my Vintera Mustang Basses to be 17mm string spacing?
Thanks... It is a bit unfortunate, because I really want to keep my Mustang Basses, but the 17mm string spacing + short scale on my Acinonyx is just revolutionary for me. I might have to list them for sale if it is not possible to get saddles that will allow for tighter spacing.I have a 60s Vintera and a parts PJ Mustang that I used a Fender "vintage" threaded saddle bent steel bridge on. The threaded saddles pretty much let you choose your spacing, but you might have to use the intonation screws from the vintage bridge on the Vintera bridge to match threads. Also it looks like the design of the Mustang (Vintera) bridge kind of "blocks" how much you can shift the strings, even if you use threaded saddles.

Also, the saddle height screws on the "vintage" are about 1/8" further apart then the Vintera, so wouldn't fit in the "tracks". Custom saddles would be really expensive. I'm
going to say you'd have to replace the entire bridge, which would almost certainly leave some unsightly holes in the body.
How do you like the Badass II bridge? Was it easy to install and intonate?I’m in with my copy of Jason Isbell’s bass player’s newly modded up MIM P/J bass deemed the Butterss Bass
mine is here :

I added all of this:
1. Badass II chrome bridge
2. Aguilar P/J humbucking pickups ( butterss uses fender us neck / nortstrand bridge)
3. Cavity Shielding
4. All cloth wiring
5. CTS 250k pots (orange drop .047 cap)
6. LaBella flat wound strings
7. Bone nut

That badass ii install was the easiest in the whole build. 5 screws out, 5 in, string it, tune it, adjust height, adjust the intonation, tune tune tune at every step. Done. Good bit of kit.How do you like the Badass II bridge? Was it easy to install and intonate?
The white on white Mustang looks great.
To be fair. I communicated with Anna Butterss and their bass tech (who did the build) I was simply following the parts list and hoping for the best.Nice Job! Turned out looking great and well thought out, functional mods! I've not seen a BA bridge on a Mustang before, but I've used them a lot in the past on other basses. Big fan! Really nice job and choices!!
This might be the solution to my problem as well. I can sell my Vintera bodies and buy some PJ Mustang bodies with the easily replaceable bride to reuse with my Mustang necks. That badass ii install was the easiest in the whole build. 5 screws out, 5 in, string it, tune it, adjust height, adjust the intonation, tune tune tune at every step.
