Hey. I'm planning to change the strings on my fender j bass MIM. But I actually don't know if the gauge makes that much of a difference. Which one would be better. I mostly play Blues, Rock, Funk. But I want it to be great for all genres.

I wish I could try both but I can just buy it and try it. I actually like the strings that come with the fender bass. Do you know what gauge are they? Thanks for your answer.
