Fender P Bass Neck Plate

I’m trying figure out what the date of this bass is I’m thinking 1975. But I read there a different design on the neck that change the dating period.

I’m debating about selling it and need to know verify I have.

The number are 585363.

s/n falls squarely withing 1974
1975 typically starts with 600000.
There always seems to be exceptions...

pots and pickup dates would also help date...


Not sure what that means, but s/n moved to the headstock in '76
Also, it's probably common knowledge that you can special order Fender neckplates with your custom serial numbers (and aging) from vendors on the internet, so a numbered plate isn't necessarily original.
