Fender P-Bass REAL OR FAKE???

Hello I'm Eddie. Well i'm getting this bass for $500, never seen this headstock before and the neck color i kno its maple but y is different from the headstock color?. Can u please guys help me? it is real???

Yeah, that pickguard isn't quite right, is it?

And I don't know of any stock regular Fender precision with a late 60's/70's style headstock logo that came through the process with such a well figured neck...if it's real, it would be a rarity (I have held necks that had some figuring and one late 70's Strat with a birds eye maple neck.

The whole thing looks pretty suspicious if its being passed off as a stock Fender. Could still be worth 500 bucks though.
 
first of all, Precision basses never had a bullet truss rod adjuster. the frets also look way too big and the radius looks to be less than 7.25".
the tuning keys are reverse tuners so those are inncorrect too.

looks like it may be a refinned, (possibly re-radiused) and refretted jazz bass neck with a precision bass decal on it to me.
