I believe it's simply their product name that incorrectly states "maple neck fingerboard". Under product description it says "pau ferro".

Should be easy enough to get the real story here. TB was ALL over the Adorama deal when it first came out. There must be dozens of owners here.

Again, mine wasn't maple. As it was, I waited about four months to decide to buy; maple, I'd have bought on the first day.

Yes, if that surf pearl had a maple fretboard, I'd probably have bought one too. I wish Sweetwater's seafoam Mustang had a maple board.

That was a great color. I nearly bought one. It reminded me of a Creamsicle. Yum.

The original batches were pao ferro. The last batch (they're now all sold out after the $379 sale) came with a maple fretboard. The picture wasn't changed to show the maple but the description was correct in stating the maple fretboard. The first people to receive the bass from Adorama in the last round were surprised that the maple came with it. I got wind of it from others who received it before me and was pleasantly surprised. I like the maple/surf pearl color combo.

I ended up going with the JMJ to get a rosewood board. The pau ferro Fender has had this year looks really really bad IMO.

i'm definitely a maple fan, kinda a rare beast in offerings over the years. I just got a 78' mustang that is maple neck and fretboard, plays very nicely, love the feel.

Its started life as a stock MIJ, 2012 i believe. Pickup is a curtis novak custom made wide range humbucker.

Looks good.

I normally like a maple neck on a darker bass, but with these lighter, pastel colors they're using now, I think a darker neck looks better.

The Adorama surf pearl sports a maple board. They posted the wrong pic.

My P/J surf pearl has the pau ferro board.

I'm very happy and very sad that I missed that maple neck sale.
