I traded the Pino. It was a great bass but just a little too relic'd for me. Loved the neck though! Traded for a '59 ash/blonde Custom Shop.

  3. That a lucky number by chance? I'll swap you out I guess when we get to 13, shouldn't take long ... :D

  4. Interesting Mike, I thought you loved that Pino ... I might have bought it from you if I knew you were selling ...:bag:

I did love it. May find another some day. If I could find one of the earlier versions that were a little less relic'd, I'd get it for sure.

Also a 65', and a bit of a mutt too, but it plays and sounds great...my main bass for years now.

  9. So I guess we need to decide what we're going to consider pre-CBS for purposes of getting a Club number. Do we include only "purebred" basses with a cut-off date of 1964?

I have the covers, mutes and brown case. I still gig with it and most of the time, have it strung with LaBella flats. Number please?:D

Mastermold, it's your thread and your rules. True pre-CBS would of course be 64' and older. Though I've had a few older ones over the years, the closest I can get (anymore) is that Oct. 65' Jazz above. I don't need a number, but I couldn't help but notice that beauty of yours in the first post.
