I don't think they would close a thread about how good P basses are. P basses are good basses.

Are they good basses? Only the most popular bass for the last half century or so. Is air good?
They are popular because they are good. People like good stuff and people like P basses so that means that P basses are good...... and stuff.
Good just doesn't describe how good they are. They are that good.
Stanley Flea Pastorius was the best METAL bass player ever in the whole world ever and what bass did he play teh METALZ on? A good ol' good P bass!
70s P basses are good because they are P basses and P basses are good.
In real life I agree with this but in this thread P basses are gooder.
If you put a Jazz neck on a P bass it loses the chunky funky stank. A lot of what makes a P bass a P bass is the girth of the neck. If you put a Jazz pup on a P bass is loses it's simplexity. So I'mm gonna say a molested P bass is not as good as a good ol' P bass although I do disagree with myself on this point.
