Fender Precision Bass thread

shenanigans aside, truthfully, i am quite interested in a P or sorts. i'm deciding between a couple custom order G&Ls. my decision is between; LB-100, SB-1, or SB-2. im not sure which one i want yet. i'm considering whether or not to make a thread about my journey, so don't be surprised if a new thread pops-up on the subject soon!

Now that that's out of our system, let's hope Nobody'll start a thread about Fender Precision's anemic little brother Jazz, and how he is less than good. We wouldn't want that, would we?

No kidding here: There is a music store in Springfield, Missouri called _____ Music. They have done a commendable job of upgrading and carrying a great selection of guitars. They have a wall of basses also. Ibanez, Lakland, and Fenders. 25 or 30 basses. Not one P. I asked them why and they said nobody wants a P. Everyone wants a Jazz bass. So they carry a bunch of Jazz 4s and several Jazz 5s. Mexican and American. Several Squier Jazz Basses. The Laklands are Jazz style also. I really am in the market for another P. Guitar Center in Springfield has one American P. One! And not because they all sold.

"Nobody wants a P"!!! Charlie Brown said I Best: "Aaaarrrrgggg!"

Truth. Now there's an instrument inventor. Not like that Leo Fender guy. What was that bass called? The STINKray?

Longer than that. I got tired of Chuck Norris jokes my first year of middle school. Guess they just don't have the staying power of the P-Bass.

I got tired of Chuck Norris jokes a long time ago. They're not funny anymore. Overused and overhyped. Just like the P-Bass, but the P-Bass deserves that overhyping and overrating because it's THAT good.

I'm more of a jazz bass guy, though. Ask Geddy Lee, Marcus Miller, Will Lee, and the god himself, Jaco Pastorius (if he were still breathing) why they don't use Precision Basses and you'd be surprised at their answers.

It's not for everyone for sure.

Nope - he'd simply got bored by then and fancied something spicier with a bit of edge to it! A curry rather than boiled potatoes perhaps.

I corrected that one for you ;-) I'm off to use my Commodore 64 now - it's far better than any post 1980s computer!! Anyone using Bakelite input plugs on their valve amps..... makes em sound so much more authentic!!
