Longer than that. I got tired of Chuck Norris jokes my first year of middle school. Guess they just don't have the staying power of the P-Bass.
Ok. Forget my new thread. I might just start one about how much I love p basses. To see if anyone agrees.

Are p/j's ok, or am I out of line?
I need clarity.
Hey guys, I just sold my 4-string Precision. It was a good bass but my Precision V is gooder. Plus, I want a Dimension Deluxe V and I had to 'thin the herd' and the 4-string P-Bass wasn't getting the playing time it deserved.
It's all good.
Still rockin' a Precision V man! 'Merican made slab 'o Fender goodness! That's all right. I'm sure you are a good person anyway. You are forgiven, even if you strayed and erred.
We have the Baddest of the Bestes Bass ever made,we haves P Basses it's all that matters!!!If my p bass is from the 70s, is it still good?

So it's been a while since there was a thread dedicated to the Fender Precision bass. They are good basses. Do you also agree that they are good basses?
Isn't there one already? The Precision Bass Club?
Can anyone recommend a good bass? It has to be good. I want a good one, because that would be good.
I'm starting to......my first experience with a Fender -P wasn't all that good...possibly because the one I tried out was an "off" or a factory second or something....it had neck dive like you wouldn't believe. But I've picked up others since then and they didn't have this issue...
Somewhere down the road there's a P coming my way for sure......
