Fender Precision CS 62 Pickup vs New Pure Vintage 60s

I haven't compared them directly at the same time but I have the PV60 in a bass now and have had the custom shop 62s a couple times. I find the CS 62s to be pretty aggressive with an upper midrange that can get pretty gnarly. May or may not be your thing. I find the PV 60 a much more balanced pickup. Less highs and more midrange than the CS62s with a nice full tone. But not nearly as pronounced as the PV63, if you're familiar with that one. I personally really like the 60 and it turned out to be the perfect fit in one of my basses.

I appreciate your input. I'm glad you are familiar with the PV63 pickup as that's the one I have on my Pbass currently - it's too hot for my taste. I'm not after an aggressive midrange either. I'm looking for a full and balanced pickup. It sounds like the PV60 is the one to go with. I have ordered another set of Pickups to try out but if I don't like them, I will definitely order some PV60s. Thank you, again!

Also, what tone capacitor are you using with the PV60? Tks

You nailed it. The CS 62s have a lot of highs and kind of airy. The PV 60 is a really balanced pickup that sounds beautiful. It's not as extreme or tiring to the ears. It does not sound super vintage to my ears but it's balanced. The PV63 is a hot, bassy, punchy pickup with little highs. I happen to like it but it's pretty extreme.

I like the PV 63 too. Very punchy tone.
I am curious about the PV 60 & PV 62.
Are these new pickups or old renamed pickups?

I currently have the PV 60 in my 60's vintage P bass and it's a real nice pickup and, as others mentioned, balanced pretty well. Pairs super well with the Labellas on it. I haven't looked "under the hood" to see what cap is on there but it does get pretty dark compared to my other with a GZR in it. I had the PV 63 years ago and didn't seem to like it for some reason (not sure if cuz its hot or the lacking highs). I'd like to try it again but don't want to be disappointed again. I would go SD Antiquity II over them since I have always been curious about those.
