Fender Precision Elite II Colors

Does anyone know where I can find the colors that Fender offered on the Precision Elite II Basses? I have a solid gray guitar that I bought in 1983. I have not seen any pictures or heard anyone talking about that color. Thanks.

What I believe you're talking about are what Fender called the "international" colors. As far as I recall, Fender stated these colors were only going to be available for 2 months when they were introduced (this may have been late 1982.) The colors that were introduced were a red, orange, yellow, blue & gray. All colors had white pickguards. They all had unique names, and were bright like M&M's (the gray was like the gray used in the Antigua finish, but was a solid color.) These colors were $100 more than the standard colors.

Lo and behold, Fender decided to sell these colors for the following year (no longer limited to just 2 months.) The real kicker was that Fender decided that black and white would now be part of the "international color" series, so they added an extra $100 for black or white that year (which was pure B.S.)

Grey? You must mean the Pewter colored one. My guitarist had one for a few years. According to the '83 catalog, they came in 15 colors; 6 standard and 9 custom (3 of them the "stratoburst" fade). The colors shown in the catalog are:

Stratoburst:
Blue Stratoburst
Bronze Stratoburst
Black Stratoburst

Custom:
Candy Apple Red
Lake Placid Blue
Candy Apple Green
Aztec Gold
Transparent Emerald Green
Transparent Wild Cherry

Standard:
Natural
Arctic White
Black
Sienna Sunburst
Brown Sunburst
Pewter

Here are the colors from a Strat website:
International Color Stratocasters (special custom colors: Arctic White; Morocco Red; Monaco Yellow; Maui Blue; Capri Orange; Sahara Taupe; Cathay Ebony; Sienna Sunburst; and, Cherry Sunburst. Note: unlike the other eight, the Sahara Taupe has a four bolt neck and non-bullet headstock)
