Details

Up for sale is a mint Fender Ultra Precision Mocha Burst. I was originally looking for a Stingray trade, but I pulled the trigger on one so am now selling this beauty. I bought the P-bass hoping I'd bond with it, but just never got used to the feeling. From a Fender perspective, I'm more of a jazz guy. Obviously, no trades at this point. $1550 shipped. It weights 8.8lbs on one scale and 9lbs on another. But I don't know how accurate bathroom scales are, so it may be off a bit.

That's gorgeous. Is the neck thicker/wider than your Stingray ?

Did you already get a SR? No more trade only purchase? Im curious about the neck width too, these compound necks apprently really work well with the way I setup my basses, nevermind just read your updated post.. I have a cruz teal Id maybe trade if this is close to an elite

Yeah I did get a SR. There just weren't any available here in the classifieds, so I just decided to buy one and throw this up for sale.

I haven't got it yet. I just bought it tonight. What I did see in videos is the neck is wider at the nut on the Stingray bit is flatter whereas the P-bass is more of a c-shape neck.

Ultra Precision has 'D' neck [wider shoulder than 'C' and slimmer puts thumb closer to fretboard making it easier to stretch fingers] The playability is excellent and neck is fast.

Nut width is 1.625 and 10-14" compound Radius [smooth Satin Finish never gets sticky]

the whole package including body cuts is easy and comfortable to play. Great Bass capable of Vintage and Modern Tones

Really beautiful! So tempting.

The finish will blow your mind in person! I had one of these when they first came out (sold it to get a Stingray Special haha). Literally, every pro bassist that I let test drive it asked if it was from the Custom Shop. They’re amazing. Best P-bass I’ve ever played, super versatile and comfortable. I wish I could have justified keeping it I do miss it but the stingray is way more up my alley (I need that low B).

The Ultras/Elites & Selects have all been my fav. Something about them is different build wise, very solid basses. Ive come to realize I love the compound neck a lot as well for lower action.

No this did not sell. Is there something in this thread where it indicates it's sold? I hope not. :)

The bass itself is great, but I've never played a Precision and just didn't bond with it like I thought I would. I ended up getting a MM Stingray Special instead. I just prefer the style and sound a bit more. Other than that, it's a great bass.
