Any thoughts on whether they will just stop using Rosewood altogether? I'm planning to buy an American Professional Precision in July, with rosewood, but now I'm wondering if it will even be available by then.

Your fears are not totally unfounded. I think the situation right now is kinda in flux with very few people,including myself, knowing exactly what's going on. If there is any way you can move this up it will be better because there will be stock in stores. Otherwise there's always a healthy used market here.
