It looks like I bought my Fender Olympic White, Mustang PJ at a good time. Fender apparently has just had a price increase. It went up $25.00 in price. I saw other Fenders are increased as well.

GK prices also came up a bit I noticed, at least some of the cabs did.
EDIT: I'm not seeing any price increases on any Fenders I've been looking at for the last week. Just checked again and everything's the same. Could it just be the Mustang?
It is because of the CITES rosewood law that went into effect this year.
Mexican - up 462.78 pesos.
American - up 50.00 dollars.
It does seem to be on Rosewoods. The Pro Series Rosewoods are increased up another $50.00.
MIM Fender Standards with Rosewood are up $25.00. There must be a price level set for the larger price increase from $25.00, to $50.00. on the Rosewood Fretboard basses. Or unless it's true that the MIM get a $25.00 increase, and the MIA get a $50.00 increase.
Give it time. Wherever you are seeing this, it will get changed. Some dealers may be selling existing stock at old prices, or just haven't updated yet.I'm seeing both maple and RW standards MIM @ $599.

Are you saying prices are going up or aren't? I was just saying that anywhere that prices have NOT increased yet will, given a little time.I don't think so. The new Pro Series basses show the increase. The Mustang PJ's are new, and in some cases hard to acquire from Fender. These increases are noted on Sweetwater, GC, and SA cites.

Black&Maple is $599.99 at Sweetwater. Black&Rosewood is $624.99Still $599. I think they did an across the board increase not long after the MIA's went up.
The usual greed factor. Always more money to be made when you have more than plenty.
