Who owns a Fender PS400 or 300 and would mind showing their stack?
And how does the Fender Super Bassman hold up against it's granddad?

I have never heard of an amp that can handle three 4Ω loads, 1.3Ω aggregate. At 440W, that is an incredible amount of current - 330A!
I run 2 of my 400PS outputs into a Peavey 1810 cab. I also keep the 2 input channels connected together.
More than enough for what I do!
That beast would be a hard old job for any six by ten you could get, if you felt like you needed a bit of good old fashioned Lemmy like tube power stage distortion.always thought a good 6x10 cab would be a perfect modern-day match for one of these, three separate 4Ω 2x10 connections to the amp.
i have a 400PS and it's definitely a beast. (i'm running six NOS GE 6550A's in mine) the head weighs over 100lbs so i don't take it out much anymore. i used to run it thru three single 15 showman cabs with JBK K140's in them and it sounded huge. ( i still have two of the showman cabs). IMO, 435 tube watts is pretty incredible.
here's a couple of pics of the head:
