I did.. Just got a call from Fedex.. they found it.. hopefully this will all be over soon...I wouldn't panic on a lost package yet.But if it's 2 day's past it's estimated delivery, contact the shipper
It is finally over! got the bass today. It works great.. Never gonna go through that again.

I am just glad it's over. For what it’s worth, @trickyric, I think you handled it as well as you could have with all the variables involved. Bad bass, third-party repair vendor, Fender’s lack of cooperation, Fedex losing their pickup, what a mess.
I would have done what you did. If you search through my posts on my American Elite purchase, I kinda went down a similar path. It was noisy and poorly shielded, but this was by design. Otherwise it was gorgeous and played wonderfully. I didn’t raise hell, I didn’t even contact anyone anywhere about it. A $6 roll of copper foil and 2 hours turned it into a very quiet bass. I’m kinda wired that way, though, plus I had to know how, so it was no big deal in the big picture.
And I’m not sure what has caused you more grief...having to get a brand new bass repaired right out of the box, or having to wade through all the noise here that you unintentionally caused by a need to simply vent your frustrations, as anyone would....
I mean that in a (kinda) light-hearted way, of course. Your case is an exercise in patience and understanding beyond what should expected. I think you handled it well. And you (finally) got the bass you wanted.
Now enjoy. And good luck!
