Fender Roadworn Jazz basses

I just got this bad boy. My wife got it for me. I was going to buy one on TB,but couldn't due to an emergency with my wife's car. She ended up getting this for me. It's used, but is in great shape, all paperwork included including original invoice.
The previous owner musta rubbed off the serial and MIM on the back of the headstock and put a strap button ala vintage 64. IT's a great bass....one of the nicest I've ever played...feels very very vintage to me. Excuse the camera phone pics...they don't do it justice. Personally I like the relic look. My buddy has a real 64 and when he saw it, he said" Oh it's just like mine!" He was very impressed as am I. The GHS flats on it make it feel nice and buttery. I must say they were cheap pricewise ,but felt good right outta the pack...I am very impressed period!

The pickup covers look cool on your Roadworn! Although if you want to make them work a little better with the aesthetic of your bass, you might want to take some very fine steel wool to that shiny chrome.

I love THE IDEA of the pickup covers, but I've always found that they get in the way of my right hand technique. Still, I've been tempted to get a P-Bass bridge cover and put the mutes in so that can get a more old-school brand of thump to my tone.
