Fender Rumble 350 to Two 410's?

definition of the power rating of each item is what I mean by underpowering, no body uses that term differently so I think you are just being confusing. I understand that it produces more power because it is driven to clip but it wouldn't be doing so if had the ability to push more clean power. I don't care about being right i'm trying to sift through the twisting of terms laid out here. who refers to a 300w head run into a 400w cab as over powered. nobody. you would say that can is underpowered. the fact that the head is pushed to clip and produce double the power isn't something commonly discussed or understood and doesn't change the term under power top overpower. If anything I think the twisting of words here creates confusion and the whole "underpowering is a myth" nonsense is just based on that twisting of terms. it encourages people to run a lower rated head into a higher rated cab and assume they wont damage gear. thats not true.
 
No it's not, sorry. The overwhelming majority of daisy chain jacks on cabs are indeed parallel and not series. Look it up, then name me even one cab made in the last 30 years that has serial daisy chain jacks.


Once again, totally myth. I have personally powered an Ampeg 810e with a B-15 head that does 25w RMS, and never had a problem with it whatsoever. No problems with voice coils, no problem with not generating any sound, no problems with poor fidelity, no nothing. Your iPod comparison is completely irrelevant because it's got a tiny tiny little amplifier that has just enough wattage to power a set of headphones but is useless as a power amp.

Whoever told you this information, never ever listen to another word they say, because they are 100% wrong.

There aren't really "two input jacks" on your speaker cab, though it looks that way.
One is to be used as an input,
the other is then used as a pass-thru to jump to a second speaker cab; if you want to run two,
and, your amplifier will support the impedance created by putting two cabs together.

I didn't really want to start a new thread for this, but I hooked up two cabs to my Rumble 350 last night for the first time and I'm mildly nervous about the particular wattage each cab is getting. One of the OP's initial concerns/questions wasn't definitively answered in favor of a debate on ohms, which is fine... no real criticism from me here.

Connected to my amp are two fairly different cabs:

Fender Rumble 1x12 (500w, 8ohm)
SWR Workingman's 15 (200w, 8ohm)

I'm using both outputs on the amp, one to each speaker. I'm a little concerned that the SWR is going to get too much juice. Are the cabs getting 175w max using both outputs on the amp?

Even if it's more, I don't see myself going beyond 7 on the volume for any reason as it's plenty beastly (seriously... it sounds great), but I just need to know before it drives me crazy. What's funny is that the manual doesn't even explicitly address what I'm asking. It just has a little chart indicating ohm loads with different speaker configurations.
