I also have the 500v3 head, but only a single 210. Its plenty loud for any gig ill have, but i've seriously been considering getting the extra matching cab, maybe on a Holiday sale. From your experience, does adding that extra cab really make a difference? Its about 50/50 whether or not I even go through the FOH.Random Thought: I currently own the 500 v3 head and a pair of the matching 2x10 cabs. Does anyone here own a pair of the matching 4x10 cabs? There have been a few in past that have this rig, but none recently. My favorite story is of one Rumbler that set up outside to test out high volume capability. His hearing impaired father was inside his house a quarter mile away and watching TV. He told his son the next day that he thought he was 'having a party'. So if you have any outdoor festivals to play, a Rumble 500 with a pair of Rumble 410's are your ticket to bass paradise.Random Thought: I currently own the 500 v3 head and a pair of the matching 2x10 cabs. For the kind of gigs I do, it makes a huge difference. I play in a 10-piece Motown/R&B band so the rhythm section gets wedged in behind our three singers and horn section, meaning I'm always within two feet of my amp. I've done a gig with a single 2x10 cabinet elevated and slightly tilted on an amp stand, but I felt it ran out of gas on the low end. The pair together keeps the floor coupling (plus the two cabinets coupled together) but still elevates the top cabinet to where you can hear it, and the lows just sound so much bigger. We always have full FOH support so I don't need to be insanely loud, typically running the master at noon, but we do get quite loud on stage as we typically are running between six and eight powered monitors.
That said, for times when I can only bring one cabinet due to limited vehicle space, I bring my Orange OBC115 to use with my Rumble head as it's quite aggressive and "vintage" voiced, making it a great standalone cab. I elevate it about a foot off the ground on a utility case and am good to go with that arrangement, but the pair of Rumble 2x10s is awesome, especially outdoors when you can open up the master volume. I also like that I can bring a pair of 39 pound cabinets that when stacked are the same height as an 8x10!
Buying used equipment is just like buying a used car. Check for complete functionality of all controls; input & output jacks. On speaker cabinets, look for damage. Pull the grills off and inspect the cones for damage. Do the finger press test for voice coil damage. Listen carefully at live stage volume. Check each cabinet out separately and also together.
OK. Form your fingers and thumb in a circle. Place them on the cone around (but not touching) the dust cap. Gently & evenly push back. Listen and feel for any touching or scraping. The voice coil and magnet form the motor of the driver, and voice coil must be free floating. If it's not then your speaker needs a rebuild which is simply called reconing. Also inspect for any damage to the surround where the cone attaches to the frame. Inspect the cone itself for tears; cuts, or creases. Any dents in the dome shaped dust cover will readily be evident. A dent usually doesn't effect the bass freqs much, but make sure they don't charge you extra.
I use the 500c and added a 2x10 extension. It made a difference in the feel of the sound. I am glad I added the cab.

Gonna run them with my Carvin BX600 head and sansamp bass driver.
My wife ordered them for my birthday as a semi surprise (I had told her what I wanted)
She was surprised when I texted her to say thank you just a half hour after she ordered them. My Sweetwater sales rep had already called me to thank me for the order.

I bought a Rumble 40 about a year ago, and it's the perfect size, power and weight for small jams and home practice.
How did Fender get there amps to sound so good, yet weigh so little?
I would love to buy a bigger one, but at the moment I don't need anymore volume.

I have the first one Linin linked. It works great. Same height as my other pedals etc... so it is really easy to use.
The 25 has arrived! I've never heard a 25w so loud before. I'm blown away. Absolutely stunned at the clarity. This thing rumbles the windows at 12 o clock. I tested the 500 a while back and loved it. Was worried about the clarity on the 25 but I have to say this thing is probably gonna be what I mic for recording.
