Someone else mentioned the idea of getting the main cab off the floor and closer to ear level and the different sound of a different(1-15 or 2x10)depending on your main)cabinet.![]()
That person must be mic'ing both cabinets or running 2 DI boxes to get the blend of the 10s and the 15. I guess that's why it makes very little sense to me to have an additional cabinet of 2 10s to go along with the combo, because the amp is being used as a monitor for the most part anyway. If getting the amp to ear level is what someone wants, why not use a wedge instead of lugging around an additional cabinet?



. In my case, I eventually lost volume in general which required $4K hearing aids. Playing bass with hearing aids is not all that bad, except when you want to practice with earphones...that is a PITA
