OK. Just finished the foam insulation install. Didn't take pics 'cause it's raining again and I shoot my pics outside. That's because my flip phone(yes, flip phone)doesn't do well inside. Got a pack of 1"thick, 16"x 16" squares for $7, cut and trimmed them and rattle can craft glued them in. Tightens up the sound nicely. Thanks again to those who posted the suggestions.
I turned my Rumble 200 combo's Gain all the way up to 5 o'clock today. Bass=Noon; Low Mid=3 o'clock for a +6 dB boost, High Mid=3 o'clock for more of the same, Treble= 9 o'clock for a -7.5dB cut. Used that setting with Vintage both off and on. Too much gain with Vintage on so backed off to 12 o'clock high for better dynamic response. Not too shabby. Must Be Blue Monday.

Cool, good idea. I have a little Rumble 15 that I bought to take on vacation with me a couple of times a year. I think I am going to do this to it. Make it sound a little better for very little money, why not.
I have used the heck out of my Rumble 200c V3 for the last couple of years. Sometimes on its own, sometimes with the 115 extension cab. Always sounds great, no issues at all. I love the sound of those 15" speakers. I suppose someone could spend a lot of money and upgrade them to something else but I am not sure it would sound better, at least not enough to justify the money.
It did improve the sound of my 15 considerably, cost next to nothing, and took me less than 10 minutes. Well worth it, I’d say.
Plus the GP signature photo is in front of the garage door. Any other backdrop would confuse us.OK. Just finished the foam insulation install. ^^^Agreed^^^ The best way to upgrade would be to simply buy a pair of Fender Bassman 115 Neos and a Fender Super Bassman head. That's about $3,500 USD, but it does sound better.
According to Fender: “That is unknown at this time”.

So, is it not a problem if the wadding actually touches the speaker? Sure looks like an easy thing to do.
It shouldn’t touch the cone itself, of course, but apart from that I can’t really see why it would create problems. I certainly haven’t experienced any.
Using a staple gun into cardboard cutout ovals, maybe just 2 inches wide, seemed to work really well to place the fill.
You are correct. I'm seeing posts about upgrading to another speaker and am wondering why. I think the sound from my 200c with my 115 cab and the 35 year old American P bass can't get any better! I'll keep it until it rots!
