The width on the Rumble 210 cabinet is 19" whereas the Rumble 15 is 23". Can the 210 be rotated on it's side and the Fender symbol be moved from it's current position and placed on the top left like the 15?

I am healthier than originally thought a few years ago. So I am still alive and annoying a lot of people on talkbass much to their chagrin. Still playing a bit, but just for myself. Nothing special, or at least nothing that anyone else in my area wants to help me work on and record. Just on cruise control for the most part. Thanks for asking.

On the health related topic I wanted to ask for some advice about my Rumble. I haven't mentioned it much here if any but I haven't gigged once using my own Gear with my band since hurricane Harvey last year the venues that I used were pretty much destroyed and have yet to be rebuilt. Both of my guitarist got flooded out and have not been able to get their stuff finished yet they're still working on making sure they got a stable place to live. Now I am doing some feeling work hearing there for a couple of praise and worship bands but they provide back line so all I'm really bringing is my base in my zoom B3. The issue I've got is has been spending some time in the music room playing piano while I'm working the rest of the house and she has the cat in there with her. Now this is a cat we've only had for 2 months before Harvey hit and I have not been able to fully trained her to not Claw on things. She hasn't gone after the amp or the cab yet. However she does like to cloth on my gig bags not much of a concern as the ones she has access to Harley almost disposable SX gig bags. I have been thinking about putting my covers on the amp and cab to keep her away from them but since she likes that kind of material and concerned it would only act as a magnet for her. What do you guys think?

Better to tear up a cover than the amp.

So I was in the process of selling my 500 combo that was waaaay too loud for this house and probably getting the studio 40 which would be better suited for home. Anyhoo, the buyer cheesed out over the shipper damaging the cab, could barely get him to take the pics so I could get the claim dealt with. Hell I don’t even know if it works still. It’s hopefully being sent back. Long story longer, I don’t care about the damage at this point, but has anyone taken the head out of the 500 combo? If the head still works fine, I have a separate cab that I could use it with.

It depends on how bad the damage to the cab is and how crafty you are with woodworking. I'm sure the head can come out of the combo but the input output section of it is almost all on what would be the Top If You converted it to a head. Not that that's a bad thing just a little odd. Heck if they just damaged the face or the tolex just rock the dumb thing.

I'm kind of in the same boat you are I really love my 500 though and I'm not going to get rid of it. I am seriously considering buying a rumble 40 amp so that I can have one to keep in the bedroom so that when my wife is in the music room I don't rattle her out because honestly even at the lowest volume possible on the rumble 500 it will shake the entire Music Room hard. I mean this thing is a beast it really is there's no way to get just mild volume out of it inaudible or shaking the house. I don't think I'll go with the new models with the modeling though I'm very happy with my effects pedal and I don't really want to learn two different effects systems for bass. And for what it's worth on guitar I am looking to add a zoom g3x so that the effects are similar enough between my guitar and bass pedals.

I mentioned the being too loud before because we moved, the room it’s in is much narrower. I’m good with woodwork, the front and bottom got damaged as far as I can see, dunno if the buyer did anything additional, it’s been an ordeal. We’ll see by the end of the week

Life happens, the studio 40 can be played at volume and sound great, it est drove one last week, didn’t care about the effects, but I really dig the amp models

Try this:

OK, the update is applied to my Studio now. Here's what we wound up doing. Instead of just hitting the encoder button and the power switch, hit the middle button to the left of the encoder button also. So middle-encoder-power. It will display the searching for updates, downloading... but will not hang there.

A word of warning. They have changed the menus on the amp to consolidate things. This was mentioned in passing in the changelist under the effects section. The update didn't install incorrectly, you just need to find where they moved things.
