Spent many evenings at Gilly's. They remodeled it in the 90's and it was a great place to see live music. Saw BB King, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Robert Cray, Lonnie Mack, Anson Funderburgh, Ronnie Earl there, to name a few. Unfortunately, I missed Stevie Ray and Bobby Blue Bland when they came there. They closed last year after some SOB robbed 80 yr old Jerry Gillotti after hours and put him in the hospital. Sadly, I'm thinking that the days of getting to see these types of shows in this town are all but over.
