Fender Rumble Club

Happy Fender Friday! :woot:
Just found this recently posted photo of Jay 'Mr. Rumble' Piccirillo and his band 'Random Change'. We can't see his amp, but it is most likely a Rumble 350 as his stack is made up of V2 Rumble Neos: 2x8 on top of a 112. Jay works at Sweetwater now. There is a Rumble Talk about Jay if you don't know who he is and why he is so important.

The Rumble 800 HD outputs up to 400 watts continuous at 8 ohms (any single Rumble V3 cab), and up to 800 continuous at 4, 2.7, or 2 ohms (any 2, 3 or 4 Rumble V3 cabs).

Your Rumble 410 is rated for 500 watts continuous, so it's safe to run alone (8 ohms, 400 watts), or any combination, with the 800 HD.

Your Rumble 115, however, is rated 300 watts continuous, but could receive up to 400 continuous watts from the 800 HD, whether alone or with the 410!

Not necessarily a critical mismatch, unless you throw caution to the wind and crank the amp. But used moderately, it should be safe and sound glorious.

You should put the 115 on top of the 410 to listen closely for signs of stress from the 115 when in use, and be prepared to cut back the Gain, EQ and/or Volume to save the 115. Adding a 3rd cab would reduce the power to each cab below their continuous ratings to totally safe levels, and you could crank away!

Good luck!
Does the amp have 1 speaker out or two? If he runs both out (one to each cab) then he is at 8ohms. If he daisy chains from top to bottom then he is at 4ohms......3 cabs dasied at 8ohms would be 2ohms which is as low of expedience I would go. I always dasied my 4x10 to my 1-15 off my Ampeg 2000 and vever hurt them.

Uuuhh, noooo, . . . . connecting one 8 ohm cab to each of the two speaker connectors (2 cabs total) gives the amp a total of 4 ohms of impedance, not just 8. See where it says, "Parallel Speaker Outputs"? Rumble cab connections are also parallel. So, it doesn't make any difference if the cabs are chained or in direct connections. And, the math for three 8 ohm cabs connected in parallel gives 2.67 ohms, not 2 ohms.

It may have been wired differently on your Ampeg, IDK.

What other Cab would you recommend to go with what I have? I like the idea of another cab to equal it out and I appreciate your feedback !

So. I'm gonna start busking. Any tips? I'm gonna run a Fender Rumble 25. Will it be enough?
With bongos; ukuleles, and kazoos, yes.
Also. Is it true we're getting a Rumble Club 200 combo?
No. We will be getting a Fender Rumble Club 400 1x15 combo sometime in the future as I have pitched my tent in the land of hope. Hope is the confident expectation of good, and as such is anchor of my soul.

Since you already have the Rumble 410 and 115, I'd recommend the Rumble 210 as a 3rd cab. It's cab isn't as wide as the other two, but it is the same height as the others are wide. So, lay the 210 on it's side to mach the others' width. See photos here:

Quick question rumblers!

Is the effect return post EQ on the rumble 200?

Thanks in advance
The FX return goes straight into the power section wide open, and master volume has no effect. That way you can bypass the Rumble pre-amp & EQ with your own choice of electronic gizmos. The FX send is post EQ. If you are using the FX loop as intended, the point is moot.

Part of the reason for having an Effects Loop is for bypassing the internal preamp & EQ, so the Return will always be after those parts of the signal chain.
You can either take the Send signal & manipulate it with your effects & put it back into the Return or you can use the preamp & Eq from another device (or devices) to send straight to the power amp via the Return jack.

That is definitely the preferred way to have an effects loop for most, but not all amp's effects loop work in that manner.
