Fender Rumble Club

Of course you can join The Club, Sandy! :woot: I apologize for not replying to your first post here with a hearty welcome, especially to a 3rd time Rumbler! I'm mighty glad you finally found us.

Please post a photo of your Rumbles to get a membership number. I'd especially like to see that Rumble V2 112 Neo! Everything I've read about them says they are great little cabs but, as a floor demo unit, it may have seen some abuse. It's possible it has some slight damage that a repair shop could fix to put you back in tip top shape. By "baffling " do you mean some fiber fill or lining? The Rumble Modifications section of the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, has several tales of such judicious lining improving the tone of V3 100s & 40s. Maybe your V2 112 could use some, too? :smug:
.

Thanks for the info and welcome!!

Yes, I do mean lining.

I’ll post a picture shortly!

Rumble 210 vs Ampeg SVT 210av

What are the differences? What are the pros/cons to both?

I’m not sure to go down the path of rumble or svt. I want the rumble 800 head but it’s too much for the 210 svt cab and even the 212 svt cab which I’m also looking at. However I’m thinking maybe for the svt I can use a tonehammer 350?

To my ears the rumble 210 (w Rumble amp) offers a wide ranging offering, generally richer sound than the 210 from
Ampeg whereas the ampeg (with ampeg amp) is narrower. Regardless from others stated experience, I tend to think you’ll get whatever you need from either.

That said, the power handling of the rumble is significantly greater. Many can use it alone. Others pair them up with a 115 or another 210.

Anyone gigging with bands using the SVT that I’ve read about is running two.

Here is the advantage of the SVT.

1). Footprint. The ampeg is not going to take up much space. That can make a difference in tight quarters.

I didn’t keep my svt for long. Just did not do anything for me. Could have been the micro amp. I played a PF20 into the cab at a store and recall enjoying that, but that isn’t a gigging amp for most.

All told, you’re in the rumble forum. It’s recommended for value, tone, capability, flexibility, durability and classic rock sound.

They are both truly great looking cabs.

Well, my second PJB Compact 4 is en route to me! It's black while the first one is red, but I've never been too particular about colors so it won't bother me in the least. I'll now be able to run my Rumble 800 head at full wattage... hoping that will be loud enough to keep up with my 100W vintage Boogie...! Rumble On folks!

Hope you will let us know how it sounds compared to Rumble cabs, if you have used them.

I haven’t, but would love to compare them. I’m certain a pair of 210s would excel with this head and would gladly try them out. Surface-area-wise, one Compact 4 is only equivalent to a single 10” but at 29 lbs and 400W of headroom in a 14” package, these are the cabs I need today. I’ll let you know how the tiny rig of doom performs when the new-to-me cab arrives.

I have a Rumble 100, and I use it all the time. Thinking of buying a 500 as well!

I have a Rumble 500 combo in great condition that I am considering selling. I have a Rumble 200 head and a 115 cab that works for me. The 500 is more than I need...

You guys should really show us pics of your Rumbles, you know, like Btone, Rumble Club member #1024, just did (again). That's how you get a membership number.
