Hiya,
Just finished unboxing my Studio 40 and plugging it in. (Actually, it was delivered yesterday by UPS but it was -3 degrees when they dropped it off so I let it sit overnight sealed in the box so it would warm up very slowly, and no, I haven't taken the tag or display protector off yet) After about 20 minutes of noodling around, I'm very impressed so far with this light combo. I had a little trouble getting it to connect to WiFi and my iPhone Bluetooth with the Tone app but all seems well now. I haven't tried the DI out yet, hopefully that will be later today.
I hear you're encouraged to share your story how you got to jump on the Rumble train, here's how I got here: For about the last year my kids have taken an increasing interest in music as they become teenagers, which of course I encouraged as much as possible (but not pushing too hard) My amps are early '80's to mid '90's with large heavy cabinets, which don't work well playing at reasonable levels in the den accompanying acoustic guitars or electrics with practice amps. I had a B-15R lined up but I backed out of that as I had a PF before and while it's a classic sound, (especially with a black P with flats and a tort pick guard)

it's pretty much a one or two trick pony as far as tone and since I'm not playing out anymore, I wanted to get an all in one rig that would allow me to play along with my kids, noodle around making weird tones to entertain myself and allow me to lay down tracks if I want to.
I do have a question for the group though:
Where can I get a cover for it? Fender doesn't list one for the Studio 40 on the site so if anyone has found one that fits well, let me know the brand and item # so I can order one.
