Fender Rumble Club

I searched, but can't seem to find a club for those of us who use and love the Fender Rumble series of amps. Any interest?

I've been playing at home with my Rumble 30 since late January and it seems to me like this amp puts out a good share for being so small! Originally I was looking at the Rumble 15 but went with the 30 because of the extra input jack, more wattage, and I read online reviews which said the 30 would be good enough to play with a band in a small venue even versus the 15 which didn't have as much bang.

Hope to hear form some fellow Rumble fans soon! :D

So this makes me the founding member, #1? I feel this is a big honor for someone so new on the forum!
Already a member of the Rumble Club being an owner of a Rumble 40 which I used to play behind this band The Texas Bleu Catz 70's rock band. I did change the 10 inch out with one from Seismic Audio,,,a Richter and boy what a difference. Here is that amp being used at Diamond Jim's in Arlington Texas

Interesting. Did you make any other modifications to your Rumble 40 to accommodate the Seismic Audio speaker (ex. port tube)?

I have a 500 v3 head, and recently I've been using the overdrive as an additional tone control. I have the Gain at noon, the Drive set to about 7:00 (almost off) and the Level at noon (this matches the "overdrive off" volume level) and the Contour engaged. The overdrive removes some of the Rumble's mud (when needed) and seems to add mids, and the Contour adds back just enough of the low end which the overdrive drops out.
I don't really like the sound of the Rumble's overdrive -- I prefer to get distortion from a Grizzly Bass pedal -- but the minimal setting here adds just a *tiny* bit of grind, which is nice.
It's fairly subtle tweaking, but you might like this combination.
Rumble away!

I hope I don't lose my Fender Rumble Club number for this, but...

I removed the plastic Fender logo from my 40c and 200c this morning.

When I had just the 200c, sitting on an Auralex GRAMMA v2 pad, it didn't bother me much, because I was looking down at it. But then I bought a 40c and set it on a Gator Combo Amp Stand. Now I was looking directly at the logo, and it just looked like cheap plastic, hardly fitting the excellent sound quality.

So...both be gone.

Can you forgive me? :bassist:

In fact, I got the "mud" problem solved by simply using the Contour Button and adusting the EQ accordingly. The Contour button is the only way to cut the 500 mhz frquency on the amp. Add in the Vintage button and back off the bass and boost treble a little on the EQ. Then it sounds powerful and clean!! The overdrive gets better also with this setup since you got Vintage engaged and you can crank the gain up!!
I actually love the overdrive on the rumble. I have a Darkglass Alpha Omega Ultra for the hard stuff but the Rumbles overdrive gets excellent organic drive for mild applications. But I think it cuts too much on the low end

Rumbles are not sacred objects, though it’s easy to come away with that impression once you spend some time in this club. :)

 Oh! Horrors! :meh: Oh, well, que sera sera. We don't repossess Club numbers from people that remove their entire Rumble(s)! They may (prolly will) get another one. Logos? Pfffft! They come & go, 'specially the thin plastic ones. Don't sweat it!

How 'bout that? See the Fender Blackface Logo in the Rumble Modifications section of the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature.

There are those among us who would have argued your blasphemy in the past. But, perhaps we are beyond that now.

Ha, I'm removing all plastic ones from mine, wana form a club?

I may replace them with black face ones. The plastic logos are cheap and should not be on amps with a level of quality.

I'll accept all plastic Fender logos anyone wants to get rid of! I predict great future collectability when people wanna, nostalgically, refurbish their 20, or 30, year old Rumbles with genuine 2-screw plastic logos. The 4-screw thin plastic logos Fender currently sells just aren't the same. ;)

Disclaimer: I did NOT say this, as lee made it LOOK like I did.

I believe he intended something more like this. o_O:
