To offset this.

Alright, Enemy, now you've gone and done it! @FronTowardEnemy, you are now member #1247 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. And before you totally write off the Rumble's preamp for your Sansamp, please try the Rumble Club TONE POOL list of users' settings linked on the Rumble Club Wiki page of lotsa useful information. You might be surprised. BTW, is that really a Rumble 500 combo? It looks so small sitting on that table!

And is that your GB Uber 410T you've mentioned in the Fender Bassman Club as being a favorite with your Super, when not going through your Avatar 212? You do have some heavy hitters in your arsenal! But I have no doubt that, for all its light weight, the R500c will measure up and do you proud. Please keep us apprised of the findings in your Rumble journey, as we all merrily. . . .

Rumble On!

IIRC, Soul Man, it was something about the larger volume 115 cab giving some slightly deeper, or richer, tones than the smaller R200c box, which would seem to have some physical basis, why simultaneously pointing out that the R200c was quite deep and rich on its own.

Of course that's coming from more discerning ears than mine. I admit that I've not been able to tell any significant difference between my R500c's 210s (which have impressed me very much!) and my very impressive Bassman 115 Neo cab, when connected together!
.

I agree with the "more discerning ears" although, at least in my case, "younger ears" might be more applicable ;). I have had my 200c and 15" cab for over 1.5 years. Played out once for an audition which went no where due to an anal guitarist. Then came health issues and the virus lock down. I keep looking at them and thinking, maybe someday...

Holy smokes your good. And yes, that is the Uber under my SB. My Avatar 212 is tucked away in the corner behind it.

Thanks much. I know this amp rocks from all the TB praise. That’s why I bought it.

I will be doing a FB live show with it on the 22nd of this month. Can’t wait.

Thanks

Attention: Rumble Club Wiki Edit Alert!

I apologize, Modeling Rumblers, for a previous omission! I have now added links to the Fender TONE iPhone and Android Release Notes to the Rumble Club Wiki page near the top of the Fender TONE APP SUPPORT section. I hope this will help clarify some things, such as in the current discussion of the latest APP version(s).

I commend you to better modeling through Rumbles! Now, go forth and . . . .

Rumble On!

Anyone else wrapping their combo up for transport?

I grabbed this off Amazon for $20.

Definitely. The Fender covers weren’t available at the time, so I have had mine custom made. I now have covers for all my amps and cabs.

Likewise.

Me, too, also. I bought an MDB Cover for my R500c many years ago then, Presto!, Fender offers one for less than half the cost! Granted, my MDB is a great quality, well fitted cover worth the price. But I have several other Fender amps with Fender covers and I prefer there covers!!
.
Too bad they don't make one for the 40 combo. Just had to dust mine yesterday.

Again, me, too, also. I went over a year with my Studio 40 uncovered, wishing and hoping for a Fender cover for it. But, alas, I gave in and bought a LeCover for it, again a very well made quality cover. Hear that, Fender? You can make a Rumble 40 cover now, to get my goat, again! :rollno:

Me too, my old towel over the Studio 40 isn't cutting it!

So I hooked up my TecAmp M210 cab to the R500 combo just to test it out.

I know you shouldn’t mix cabs, this one has 2, 10” ceramic speakers as well. Only thing is it’s rated at 600 watts and eats the power of my GB heads without mercy.

Sounds great, I was easily able to dial in a tone I liked in seconds. The rumble preamp is very responsive and has a wonderful range of useful tones.

I don’t have OCD so the mismatch doesn’t bother me, I most likely won’t ever need to use it but it’s a nice option to have if needed.

Looks are one thing, but sound is the most important. If it works for you, that's all that counts...you have a combo, so that's all that is what matters... IMHO.

A myth in my humble opinion. I've had lot's of success in the past mixing brands/speakers. Just be sure combined ohms can be handled by the amp and speakers are rated for wattage they'll receive. ;)

As a side note.... I finally found a Rumble 112 cab in mint condition! Pulled the trigger today - gonna be nice sitting under my 500c! Of course the obligatory pics will be posted upon receipt of the cab! :D
