You're very welcome, theevilplankton!Gigged the Rumble 500 gain last night, this time with the addition of the 115 cab.
What can I add? Whole rig sounds amazing. Just so full and beefy, it's a tone I've never achieved before with my old rig.
Special thanks to Linnin for recommending the 115 cab - I wasn't sure which one to go for, and his suggestion was excellent. Makes a big difference to the overall tone - really adds some extra weight.
Had comments last night on how good the rig looks as well - another first!

Liking my Rumble 100 more than I thought I would. It got me my first 4 gigs here in Riga so it can't be that bad. Soon to be adding an Ibanez SRX 5-string to bookend the Washburn you see in the pic.

Hi All, I have a Rumble 200, and I was told for on stage monitor(and Small places) to get an 18" for it. My question is the output on this amp is only 100 watt, and all the 18" cabs I am seeing are 400 watts or higher. And I am not sure if I would be able to push sound through the 18 with this rig? Any insight?

Actually, it's putting out 140watts as is, if you use an 8 ohm extension cab, of any wattage, you'll have access to the full 200watts.

The natural add on for that cab is the rumble V3 115 15" cabinet. Light weight, and designed to match your combo.
And there's been a bunch of people here use the 200 more than successfully by itself, scan up a few posts, I think someone just posted a gig review.

I've used an 18 in the past, but not with a Rumble. It put out ridiculous amounts of low end, I don't recommend it. My suggestion is to test it with a 112 or 210.

You are member #382 Forget the 18. That's just bad advice. The Rumble 115 cabinet has the exact same 15 as your Rumble 200 combo and is a perfect sonic match, but the cab is a bit larger. The new Rumble 112 is a perfect size match for your combo. Both the Rumble 115 & 112 cost the very same $300, so take your pick.

You're not missing anything, as there is a lot to be gained with identical stacked 15's. You benefit greatly from what is known as 'coupling effect' from identical stacked drivers. This is one reason why 410; 610, and 810 cabinets are so popular nowadays. This is also why 2x15 cabinets were so very popular in the 1970's & 80's.Ok, thank you for the quick reply. What does pairing the 200 which has a 15" in it to another 15" cabinet? Or am I just missing something obvious? Appreciate your help and patience

Putting a Rumble 115 under your Rumble 200 combo is a great way to go, and I recommend it highly.
We grow 'em a little differently up here! Yes, failed panoramic that someone took. I'll try to get better next time. I used the 200 again last night in a smaller room and kept the Master at about 10am.
I initially had it at about noon and man...my B100r was always deceiving since it would sound much louder farther out but the 200 trumps that. Standing out about 25' it sounded like it was coming through the FOH...but our soundguy had my feed off. Yes, the honeymoon is in full swing ha ha. But when I broke down at 2am and carried the amp no problem with one hand it definitely gained more value.
Truthfully though for this room (about 60x60) I could have used the Rumble 100.

Looks like I'll be returning my Rumble 40.

After a lot of help from the fine folks here at TB, I came to realize that, for the sake of our band, I needed to make a commitment to really being a bass player. I thought I was going in the right direction with my purchase of a Squier VM 70's jazz and a Rumble 40, which I was, I just wasn't going far enough, with respect to the amp.
We lost our weekly gig a couple of weeks ago. The 40 would have worked fine on it's own as the place is small and we have a cheap, low-powered PA. But as we look for other gigs, it has become apparent that the 40 just won't cut it, given the typical sized place we can expect to play in.
So, I'm sending the 40 back and getting the 200. I'm still within my 45-day return period at Sam Ash so I'll get full credit towards the 200. I only have to pay the return shipping, since it's my desire to return the 40.
I'm excited about getting the 200. I decided to go for the 200 instead of just the 100 because with the 200, I could add another 15" cabinet if it became necessary. And if things don't work out for our band, I've given myself an opportunity to play elsewhere with decent equipment. I'm loving this bass thing. I'd like to see how far I can take it.

I wonder though: If you had brought the Rumble 100, would you possibly have felt like you wished you'd brought the Rumble 200 a couple times throughout the night? You have the option of bringing either, but you brought the 200.
I keep saying, "I'm going to buy one or the other," and I will. I don't want both. Each one has its own cool features. 22 pounds is nothing. But then the 200 weighs (only) the same as my Fender '68 Custom Princeton Reverb. The 100 is more compact. The 15 inch speaker "probably" sounds and feel better. If the 12 has "the tone and feel" of the 15, then I kinda lean toward the Rumble 100. If not, and the 15 just has more oomph, then that is the only "logical" (miss you Spock) thing to do.
If $$$ are not an issue, I'd hold onto that 40. A personal practice amp that is small & light with superb sound is always handy to have. The the Rumble 40 is clearly Best in Class. It wasn't so very long ago such bass amps simply didn't exist. Small used to = crapola. Fender Rumble has blown that notion to smithereens.
