Wow...Thank you so much, G-Dog! I need to absorb all the information you just give me! Then, I need to spent more time with 350 to test out all those features you mentioned here! I am seriously considering Rumble 500 for my future purchase. I need to go to GC and test it out. My GAS is beginning to form again. lol

Down, Davy, down! Remember our training from our fore-Rumbling-fathers! Mo' Rumbles is mo' better! :woot:

We never pressure our (so far) non-Rumbling visitors to buy Rumbles buy Rumbles, buy Rumbles, buy Rumbles unknowingly. Instead, we willingly share factual information Rumbles are the best value so that they can make informed decisions in a calm buy Rumbles now, buy Rumbles now and reasonable manner. The Rumbles' perfect combination of tone, flexibilty, power, portability, value, expandability and reliability is enough to win the most discerning bassists to buy Rumbles, buy Rumbles now consider investing now, now, now when they are ready. Now is the time, now is the best time, ...

San, please excuse Gravy Davy's "subliminal" outburst. He owns, and loves his, multiple Rumbles and simply wants to share his happiness with others, don't you, Davy? Many, maybe even most, of our faithful Rumblers are quite zealous in singing the praises of our favorite amps. Rumbles are best, Rumbles are best, Rumbles are best ;)

But, please don't let anything Rumble tone! but your own logical Rumble power! intellect Rumble features! give you GAS Rumble value! to buy 'til you're ready. Now is the time, now is the best time, ... :smug:

What do ya think, Gravy? Would @Linnin approve this message?

What exactly do the three horn settings on the back of the Fender Rumble 115 Cab (v3) do? I know I can just try them all out but am curious what the intent of each setting is.

OFF, -6DB, ON.

Thanks. I should have specified. “Off” is obvious, but what exactly would be the difference be between “on” and “-6db”?

Here's a clip from an older Fender speaker manual calling -6dB "half volume" for the horn.

For the 200c and 500c with the horn, you only have two choices, OFF and -6dB. Still sounds very good with a (forgive me please) 6-string axe. I can't wait to hear what the 200c + 210 cab sound like with the 200c horn at -6dB and the 210 cab horn at ON.

This:

makes one wonder what the tweeter level is on the Stage 800 or Studio 40 since it states a “normal setting is half volume/-6db.”

I realize G-Dog’s pic was from an older manual.

The actual Stage and Studio manual just says the horn switch turns the “high/frequency horn on and off.”

Hmmmm. Full blast on or a normal -6db?

OFF. Only time I turn on the 200c's horn is on breaks playing CDs. Tested at home(and with the 112 cab when I had it). As the manual says "Accentuates distortion".

Pre-amps - I picked up an SWR Grand Prix off CL for no other reason than to try it out and was wondering how I should connect it to my 500C. Should I go straight to the input jack with all settings at noon, or go in to effects return? I am paranoid that I’ll damage my Rumble and thought that asking is better than experimenting.

I'd go through EFX return first. Then try input with BOTH volumes down to start.

"A normal setting is half volume/-6db.” does not necessarily mean that "the normal setting" is -6dB.

The manual for the Rumbles 40 to 500 also say the Horn switch just turns On and Off. I take both to mean full blast on (whatever level that may be designed for).

While that "older bass cab manual" is copyrighted 2013, pre V3 Rumbles, it is still the Invalid Link Removed currently shown on the 7ender website! I did not realize that 'til now. Hmmm... o_O
