Fender Rumble Club

:roflmao: Ahahaha, mon ami! Occasionally someone thinks maybe to leave The Club but, haw haw haw, The Club does not leave them! You are still Rumbler #1206, my beauty. :smug: Le Rumblé gets into your soul, cher.

I do not know your cabs. But I know the soul of Rumbling! The answer is emphatically "Yes!", it can be a good match, if you use it wisely. ;)

Point of order. We neither promote nor discourage GAS here. The Rumbles themselves promote it, and their unwise use discourages it. We can-can only empathize or assist in regaining "The Path".

ahahahaha Such words of wisdom my friend! Thanks!

When I down sized for the final time, I'm glad I went back to the Rumble 100. Great tones, and just the right amount of power for my needs. I've always liked 12" speakers since 1968.

For the umphty-umph time, I love my 200c, but if I was starting over, knowing what I know now, I'd get 2x R100's. 1 most of the time, both when necessary. (or when I just felt like it :smug:)

I do, all the time (Rumble 40). When playing at home by my lonesome, I just use the same settings as for my bass guitar (EQs at 10/2/2/10 from low to high), and I don't use any of the tone buttons (Vintage, Bright or Contour). I only played out with it once or twice, and I think I might have put the Bright button on but didn't mess with the tone settings.

Anyone play electric guitar through their rumble amps?

Apparently it’s kind of popular with Rumble 25s. There are threads on TDPRI about it and multiple YouTube videos of people doing it.

If so, any recommendations for settings?

I learned decades ago that bass amps give 6-string guitars a fuller, richer tone. I play thru all my bass amps, including my Rumble 500 combo and my Rumble Studio 40, but only by myself at home, usually low volume.

Like with my basses, I use a wide variety of settings, but especially like boosting the bass control for a very heavy smooth tone.

Excellent for 60's tones like Clapton w/Cream.

Indeed it is. But I briefly owned another Fender guitar amp (not the one in your picture), and it was a true piece of crap. I don't remember the model name. The Rumble is WAY better than my Fender guitar amp was. Go figure...
I owned 2 of those 63 7ender Bassman's. Proving I'm not all that smart, I sold them in ~85 for about 1/10th of what 2 would cost now. :banghead::bawl::bag:
