I'm using my Rumble 200 as a rehearsal rig. If anyone is interested, here's a recent piece I wrote. It's called "Oscar the Miner" and about the ghosts that haunt a couple of places out here in Georgetown, CA. Now that my Rumble is "embedded" in the rehearsal room, it'll be what I use on any newer material on my YouTube channel.
Since we're an all originals band, the rehearsal video gives me something to practice to.
Update to update: I said WTH and took the 200c. Hadn't used it in ~a year. Dang, it sounds good. Rich and full. Kinda weird settings: GAIN, 9; VINTAGE and BRIGHT, in; OD, mute; BASS, 9; LM, noon; HM, 3; TR, noon; VOLUME, 9. Worked for the room.Update: Taking the R100. The 200c takes up just enuff extra room in the gigmobile(plus it's heavier). I'm getting lazier in my old(er)age.

But, they don't go to 11.

Review: The R40 was sufficient for yesterday's CC outdoor gig(playing toward the building ~50' away). However, I felt I was pushing it a bit, so back to the R100 for that venue.Been a coupla interesting days and more to come.

Anyone run into issues with the Rumble 800 head? I just met up with a dude to buy one and it wouldn't consistently output any sound. Plugged into a Rumble 410 cab. Sometimes it would make sound, sometimes not. Fiddled with all the knobs, swapped guitar and speaker cables, power cycled multiple times. There didn't seem to be any reason to it. Power light came on every time, fan was running and you could hear the speaker pop faintly when it kicked in, but just totally random on whether or not anything happened.
Anyone have similar issues? This was their gigging amp until 6mo ago so it's been reliable before. Tried searching around and couldn't find any known issues with these.
I ask, because it was a hell of a deal and I still want it, but I'm not inclined to try to repair it myself.
I've found my 100C to be my Go-To amp. I am usually going to the board, so volume is never an issue. My 40 lives at my church gig. My 500 head has become my practice amp. I go out of my computer sound to the aux in and blend it with my bass so my volume is right in my headset. I set it so that if I hear the bass player on the recording, that mean's I'm playing the wrong note.Review: The R40 was sufficient for yesterday's CC outdoor gig(playing toward the building ~50' away). I'd rather use the R100 and turn down than 'push' the R40 into distortion.
That's exactly what I do when practicing, except with my R40.I've found my 100C to be my Go-To amp. I am usually going to the board, so volume is never an issue. My 40 lives at my church gig. I haven't gone into a PA(mine, BTW)on a gig in ~3 years. I used the 200c Friday night, but it was overkill for the room-the largest we currently play. Sure sounded good, though. The 100 really has become my go-to for almost all situations. Big enuff for most our gigs, able to be turned down and still sound good, and light.I've found my 100C to be my Go-To amp. Indeed. I've played most amps made and the Rumble line is my favorite tone. IMHO, it sounds like a bass should sound.I haven't gone into a PA(mine, BTW)on a gig in ~3 years.
