I’m pretty new to the whole TalkBass world, I think I commented in this forum before but can’t remember. I currently own a Rumble 100, I use it for practice and as a stage monitor for gigs. I also run a Fender Downtown Express (HIGHLY recommend this piece of gear if you haven’t tried it.
Anyways, does anyone have experience with the 500 combo paired with the 2x10 extension cab? I’m looking to upgrade and the idea of that added flexibility/power seems just awesome. Not to mention the cool factor of standing by a stack! Lol

Well, OK, but yer prolly better off standing in front of a stack.
I had a R112 cab that I put put my R200c on top of. The sound was 'perfect'- except for being overkill every place we play(ed). I sold the 112 after not using it for ~a year.

I've got that combination and totally happy. The 4x 10s give plenty of punch and there's certainly no lack of low end. Sound is awesome.
I tried 15 cabs but found them slightly less 'responsive'? (but that could have been the old unit itself - not a Rumble).
They are light & portable. I got a flatbed trolley to wheel them about.
I've got nothing negative to say about them. I often take both to rehearsals and compare with what's provided in the room. So far, tested it against markbass, ampeg, ashdown, TC Electronic and trace elliot. I play in a loud alt rock band and like to hear my bass clearly in the mix, with slight bass cut and mids boost. The rumble just sounds better than all the others (the trace elliot was the best of the rest btw).
I suppose the only other consideration would be the 800HD. To be super portable and use with available cabs in rehearsals. But definitely no deal breaker for me.
Go for it! If you like the rumble sound, you won't be disappointed.

This is the exact same rig, I've just upgraded to. The 500c on it's own is very capable and awesome. Paired with the 210 cab, it's double the awesomeness. Enough for the largest of gigs. If you need more than this, you can DI out to the FOH.
This setup goes plenty loud and low, with a wide tonal palette. If you lean towards vintage tones, like I do, you'll be right at home. And right-on, a stack looks awesome.
Of course, the obligatory pic, or it didn't happen (as per TalkBass rules)....
I have been using the 500 Head and 210 cab since 2015/2016? And been great. I added a second 210cab to the mix and really never needed it live. Sometimes when I’m feeling frisky I’ll take both cabs for the cool factor. It does add a hugeness to the sound and the amp seems to work less.
Is it necessary? Nope not at all, the combo is plenty enough. But is fun, hell yeah !
I'm pretty much in the same situation. 12" or 15" (combo) gets me my tone. I've owned all Rumbles from 200 down to 15 Watts. The 40 was good, and light, but I'm using the 100 now. I don't play massive venues. The 100 is almost too much for the auditorium we play in. I'm in the PA but the band (not loud) still needs to hear me from my amp on stage. Our stage monitors are ok but I don't like the tone of the bass (any bass/any amp) through them.
Rumbles give me 'my' sound. Not for everyone, I know. I should have saved my money instead of ever getting the 15 Watt/8" model. Sounds awful; don't even practice with it. Now, since the retail price dropped again, you can't give them away.
The R100 is all I need for almost everything we do, including an 'open-air(roofed)' venue. Most of our audience is 60y/o+; they-and management-don't need, or want, LOUD. IIRC, I've never had GAIN or VOLUME above NOON. Usually both ~10.(Tones the usual 10/2/2/10, NO o/d.)

Thank you very much! I look forward to learning from yalls experiences and sharing a few of my own as well. I’ve played bass for about 10 years, I’ve basically taught myself (with help from YouTube and other musician friends) no formal lessons though. I play for my church’s worship band and a cover band with some buddies on the weekends. My current set up is a Musicman Stringray 4 string, a Fender Downtown Express pedal, and a Fender Rumble 100. My next gear acquisitions will be the 500c/2x10 ext, and either a P Bass or Ric4003
Very similar setup for me. What about Vintage or Contour? For me, Vintage on, Contour off. Depending on venue, tones are usually 12 across the board. But then, remember, there is the Rumble Tone pool.
Oh. Yeah. Vintage always ON, BRIGHT(as "PRESENCE")in a boomy room.
CONTOUR ON by accident while setting up at a recent gig. Discovered on 2nd break. Turned OFF immediately. I'd thought my amp was taking a
