Fender Rumble Club

... ... ... I have been told the R100 is compatible to use with my Rumble Studio 40, but how about the R200? Also doable? ... ... ...

-Kev

Yep, my doggie brother. Whatever the Rumble 100 can do, the more powerful Rumbles can do, only more so! I've used my Rumble 500 combo, even with my Bassman 500 simultaneously, to reinforce my Rumble Studio 40!

Are there any specific concerns you might have?

I've never seen a vibrato/tremolo on a violin bass before. Is that what I see as I'm snooping around behing your amps?

Thanks G-Dog!; no particular concerns. I am still new to all of these amp compatibility questions, so was just making sure. For example, I saw the Rumble 210 cab was on sale as well, but from what I have researched, the Studio 40 would NOT work with that one (unlike, say, the Stage 800) as it doesn't have a connection for a simple Bass cab, right?

Ah! Yes, T, that's part of my grandkids' "Beatles Rock Band" video game, where the whammy bar is part of the point scoring fun!. I've also got the "drum" kit in another corner of my music room.

You are correct, sir. The lower powered Rumbles, 15 thru 100, including the Studio, can not use extension cabs without physical modifications which void warranties and require some technical expertise.

Cool - thanks for confirming G-Dog. I think I am sloooowwwwly getting this stuff down; LOL!
I think my only decision now is whether to get one of these Combo amps now or wait and save up some more to possibly trade in the Studio 40 for the larger, all-in-one Stage 800.
In retrospect, I would have gone for the 800, but hindsight and all that! :)
Really appreciate the quick replies, G!

Get 'em both! That's what I did. Studio 40 at home for practice and playing around with amp models and effects, Stage 800 for rehearsals and gigs! (If we can ever get a band to stay together long enough to get 3 full sets of music down!)

Well, given the price of the Stage 800, I’m not able to spring for that right now. I do think I’m going to take advantage of the excellent sale prices and pick up a R100 though. From all the info and research I’ve done, I think it will suffice until I’m FAR more experienced!
I will continue to update once I receive it, take pics and have a chance to noodle with it!
Cheers, Kev

Perhaps two R100s would be wise, at this juncture. They could reinforce your Studio in STEREO, as I've previously mentioned. OR, they can be chained via FX Send to FX Return to give a mono 2x12" 200W rig!

Oooooh, G-Dog - why do you put these kind of thoughts in my mind?!
My wife would NOT be pleased with you!

Well, I just recall that one of our most venerated Rumblers, who will remain nameless [cough, cough, @GonePlaid, cough cough] has frequently lamented that, had he known of this chaining feature, he'd have bought two R100s intead of an R200! :woot:

Tru dat!

Now is his chance. Buy a second R100, at the sale price and sell the R200. He will come out $ ahead. What say you @GonePlaid?

Didn't you know, @G-Dog is also a divorce attorney :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:.

No, but I have employed a couple of divorce attorneys. And, lemme tell you, they were worth every penny! Free at last, free at last! Thank the lawd a'mighty I was freed at last*!

Kev, do the right thing now, while the prices are right. Later, the damage will only be greater. I can send you attorney recommendations.

* Then, two years later I married the real love of my life. Now, 40 years later, she buys me amps and guitars! :smug:
