Unfortunately, the one mentioned is the closest to the house in case I need anything quick-like when I broke a string 2 hours b4 a gig(luckily I had an old set to 'borrow' from). Also, there's no independent brick&mortar stores here.

When they can meets my needs of the moment, I'll do business with them. But, of the guitars I've bo't from them, I've returned more than I've kept--mainly for, let's call it "quality control" issues. For the most part, I have found GC is not a reliable source for musical equipment. Besides their inability to keep their products in new-sellable condition, their staff doesn't seem to understand that their 20-something contemporaries are not the ones coming in with money.

Yes, I broke weak on the sale for the R40.
I also had a gift certificate for Amazon. If it weren't so cheap and having the gift certificate, no way I would have afforded it. I have a copay for the homeowner's insurance for the tree that fell on my A/C compressor. (I've finally stopped sweating for today, in this Florida weather!)

IDK, it was nice and cool at EPCOT Friday. While it was pouring. Then it was like a &^%$#@! steam bath
The storms never made it here. They came within about 4 miles at 7 pm and stopped. IOW, as the sun was setting it cooled off nicely.
I should have a new A/C system around the time the R40 shows up!
I've never had that problem here, whether down in Austin or up here in Round Rock. They mostly hire musicians, and they generally get it.
Yer fortunate. I'll most likely never go to that GC again unless it's a extreme emergency. Eff them.
Meanwhile, I figure that with no additional expense or B.S., I can-and have in the past-daisy chain my R100>R200cV3 if I need that much cojones*.
* excellent word meaning...,uh,..., cojones.

Nice setup! Were you mic'd and/or DI'd to the PA? How did it handle the gig volume-wise? I also have a pair of R100s and plan to use them when I start playing out again in the near future. These combos are so light it's kind of hard to believe there's anything inside the cabinet!
I’m 72 and will probably never gig again! Health! I will never sell my 200c or my 210. Incredible sounding! Even if I play for only ten minutes. It’s time we’ll spent in bass heaven.
No mic, no DI. Played inside a barn door to 250-300 people outside, none of which were closer than 50 yards away. Me and our drummer (NOT a banger) were not mic'd, whereas the steel/dobro, guitar and mando/fiddle did go through the PA along with vocals. This was the 4th outdoor gig I did with 2 100's instead of my 500c. Several experienced musicians were in the audience and helped us with the mix. They said it sounded perfect.
I actually find that humping 2 100's is easier (and looks cooler) than my 500c...for me anyway.
Thanks for your reply. That's impressive that the pair of r100s carried the "venue". I've "test carried" the 500 combo around the store and I also think the pair of r100s is an easier carry. One in each hand, balanced, not too much weight on either side. I would imagine the tone and volume is similar between the two rigs.
I'm not sure but the 500cc should get more volume, cuz it's 350 watts, but my master 100 was played last night with gain at 8am and the master at 1pm, which tells me there was plenty more available.
