I got to play Porchfest today! (In Ithaca, NY- birthplace of Porchfest!)
We shared the Porch with another band, and the homeowner is a bass player. I was told I could use his amp, with no other info. Boy was I glad to see a Rumble 200 when I showed up!This was actually my first time using a 200 for more than an in-store demo. Set the EQ to faithful 10-2-2-10 and it sounded fantastic with my P bass, and though our Peavey PA. Sounded equally awesome with the other player's single coil P and flats!

Sure was! Covid knocked it out for 2 years, so this was the first in 3. Was a big happy reunion!
We are ‘Dad on Arrival.’ A Dad band, so we rolled with it. we tell a pun in between each song
And Knockout Rats we’re our porch mates, the owner of the 200!Has anyone ever replaced their speakers in any of the various rumble cabs? I’m thinking about swapping the 10s in my 210 cabs for maybe Celestion 10s that are each rated for 200w usage. 800 watts total between the two cabs. Anyone ever done something like this?
I don't recall any cab speaker(s) replacements, but here are some combo speaker replacements linked on your Rumble Club Wiki page.
Just be sure to use the speaker/cab simulation software, mentioned in some threads, to calculate the new port sizing/tuning.

Do you know of any calculation software to use? WinISD is the commonly used software. You will need the speakers Thiele & Small specs for the speaker and accurate dimensions on the cab interior and the port sizing. After you get a good baseline, then you can play with the port sizing and frequencies.
Umm...possibly. I suppose if I'm planning to potentially replace them it doesn't really matter if they're adversely affected in some way.

The witch-hats look nice but I'm struggling to source something similar, though the plain black replacements are more than adequate and I can find something very similar. Overall, none of them look overly out of place so it seems like whatever I get it won't look strikingly off.

I had kind of a crazy idea but want to get some perspective from people who know better. I love the sound of my Rumble 800 but I find myself liking the stylings and look of a tube bass head more. I had the idea of maybe building an head enclosure for my Rumble 800 so it has the look of a classic tube head. Putting the rumble up top then creating a lower section with a grille cloth. Friedman amps kind of have a look that I’d like to replicate; super classic and almost high-end looking. The Rumble 800 is about 13” wide and has side vents toward the middle on each side. I guess my concern is how much space is necessary beside each of those vents for safe usage. The manual says to give 6 inch clearance from the vents but will it be dangerous to have only 2 or 3 inches of clearance instead? I’ve heard some things that as long as the vents aren’t totally covered you don’t really need that much space as long as there is air flow. Let me know what you guys think, curious to see if the project I had in mind could work with the 800 head. Cheers!
Sorry I have been contributing much lately but I have been reading and enjoying the comments and being educated by them. Very busy with rehearsals for bands that get nowhere. Also, I got an interesting call about 3 weeks ago from the wife of my best friend from high school and my ex-program manager at the graduate school I taught at (remember I "retired" last December):
ex-dean: I am calling about your classes. How are they going?
Me: Ah. what classes?
ex-dean: You are teaching two sections of Operating Systems and the students are asking where is the instructor.
It seems they "forgot" I retired. Classes started a week before. I had no prep and they changed the learning management system being used, but said I would dig them out of this hole :-/.
I am looking at getting a Rumble 1x15 cab. Great price now. It would be a convenience purchase, not a necessary purchase.
Anyway. Does anybody know the SPL rating on this cab? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks!

Closest I could guesstimate was 99.2 db from the Eminence website from a similarly rated speaker. The R115 is "specially designed" for Fender. Maybe @G-Dog knows?

Just outta curiosity-does "specially designed" mean they made a sticker that says "Specially Designed for 7ender"?
I changed the speaker out in my Rumble 40 and 100. Both times used Delta - lite speakers. No problems or issues.
