Fender Rumble Club

DELTALITE 2515 | 15

Closest I could guesstimate was 99.2 db from the Eminence website from a similarly rated speaker. The R115 is "specially designed" for Fender. Maybe @G-Dog knows?

I will say that it sounded great with my Combo 200 and even better with my Ampeg PF20T! I am happy that I did not "give" it away for $200 after the Fender discount on new ones. It is worth far more than that.

If I ever gig again, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another at the current price, along with a more powerful amp.

Again, if this is the speaker used in the 1x15 cab, another interesting point in the cabinet design document is this:

"Use a steep high pass filter set to 40 Hz or higher to protect woofer from overexcursion." I don't use a 5-string but wouldn't this be a consideration for 5-string bassists (assuming they want the fundamental)?

I have never heard of a bass cabinet or 2-way PA speaker having a high-pass filter protecting the woofer. Is this a common feature?

I use an "always on Broughton HPF" with 4-strings. It's not just for speaker protection but also for controlling the boom at volume, in certain venues. It channels the power of the amp to frequencies that can actually be heard.

Nope, G-Dog dunno. If 7ender don't publish it, and there's a lot they don't, then I don't guesstimate.

BTW, that Deltalite is a Neo and the Rumble 115 is a ferro ceramic. Isn't that like an orange apple, or sumpin'?

Aren't you actually "guesstimating"? I mean, an "orange apple" sounds like it . Same specs, different day. Oh, and BTW, a google search does not find an Eminence ferro ceramic 15" speaker so that must be a real, special Fender spec ;). Doesn't really matter...it sounds good to me.

I believe most amps today have a built-in high pass filter although the frequency is not always published. The HPF on some amps is variable.

Near as I can guesstimate, ferro ceramic is same as ferrite, of which there are lotsa Eminences. But, what do I know?

After following along the discussion on the Rumble 200 speaker, I pulled mine. It is very similar to the Eminence Legend CA154 15 inch 300 watt 4 ohm bass speaker. The one in the Rumble weighs the same approx. 12 pounds on my home scale. It has the same screen in the hole on the back and the ribs look identical. The cone is also identical, but it is 8 ohms. My best guesstimation is that is pretty much the same speaker, made in China. It is the only speaker they make in a 15 that looks identical.

Your member #1275 has changed his username. He used to be instrumentalist and now he's Flamingo21. He still loves his tiny Rumble15 Combo.

I'm still assembling my studio in my new apartment, but your pedal board sitting on the amp motivated me to take a pic of my GTX-7 sitting on my Studio 40. It fits perfectly in front of the handle, so I don't need to unplug it when not in use.

I'll admit upfront that I didn't read all 2579 pages of this thread to find my answer. I did search but didn't get anywhere fast...and I'm sure this has been asked/answered in the past.

What is a true flat EQ for a Fender Rumble 100 v.3? It can't be all knobs at noon, right? Does this sound right or close to right - Bass at 9 or 10 o'clock, Low-Mids at 10:00, High-Mids at 1:00 and Treble at 1:00 or 2:00, Contour is Off??
