Cheap enough that I grabbed one [a Rumble 100] just for fun, figure I'll use it for rehearsals and maybe small bars and whatnot. My only other combo amp is a Mesa Walkabout Scout 112 that I've loved for many years, but it's also 51 lbs so if this 22 lbs Fender can manage then I can save the Mesa for when I really need it. I don't mind weight, I have two SVTs I gig with most of the time, but I'm not again convenience either when it makes sense.

Eh, if I had the dough I’d let it flow too. I just recently got an Ibanez 6 string bass and a rumble 115 cab. With Rocktober deals from MF it costs me almost $1,100. That will wipe my Christmas bonus so I had to put the brakes on it. But……….the MF rewards will total slightly over $200. I will walk away with an Ampeg combo practice amp for free pretty much. So…….I guess I’m happy??!! Seeing gear though is like constantly eating broccoli and cheese casserole while drinking some beer, the GAS buildup is just plain unavoidable haha.

I really like how that looks! How do the two 100s do together. I've run a 100 and 200, but never two 100s. The two identical speakers should take advantage of the coupling effect. Seeing yours makes me think of getting another 100.

I would assume FX Send on the top 100 to FX Return on the bottom one. The bottom amp is just a powered speaker cab. The top one provides all of the EQ and volume control.

I've run through 2 R100s. Closest I've gotten to the tone(but more volume/fullness)of this:

Uh, ... um, ... did you, mmm, intentionally mean to to be ambiguous??? Or would you please clarify which had more volume/fullness? The 2 R100s or, ... uh, ... "this" (which is beautiful, by the way)? Enquiring .. nosy ... minds wanna know. :oops::rolleyes:

Well, since 'that' was ~ 45W (+/-), the 2xR100's.
And yes, I am somewhat ambidextrous.:smug:

Seems there was a lot more talk about modding the R100 a few years ago - adding foam, bracing, upgrading speakers, and plugging ports. It doesn't come up too often these days - not sure why.

It does sound like I got a couple of people to mod their R40s that they got in the last big sale.

I replaced the stock speaker with a Dayton Audio PA255-8, 10" speaker, a Precision Port 2" port and some Poly-Fil matting. Much clearer and punchier than the stock arrangement.

I don’t own a Rumble 100, but I do have to admit that I was tempted to purchase one as a practice amp due to the $199 sale price. I have played through one and I think that they are nice amps.

I’ve read the recent thread where folks are complaining about the Rumble 100’s being dull.

My personal opinion is that those folks just don’t understand Rumbles and how to EQ them. Didn’t figure it was worth trying to explain it to them, though.

I do own two Rumble 112’s which I pair with my Rumble 500 Head as my Rumble Mini Rig of Doom. That makes me wonder why folks think that it is necessary to change the speaker in the 100.

When I really thought about, I figured that for me that would make the Rumble 100 kinda redundant. That is the only reason that I didn’t jump on the sale deal.

I also own a 500C and three Rumble 210 cabs, which gives me other Rumble options. But, I was still tempted to buy a Rumble 100.

I guess that I am just a Rumble kinda feller.

The main reason I haven't jumped on a second R100 for $199 is that our(my)gigging days seem to be dwindling.
