Fender Rumble Club

Pic as promised. My New Rumble 500 under my older Rumble 40.
Nice amp stand! Is that it's original design purpose, or did you repurpose it from something else? I just use an Aurelex GRAMMA v2. No space underneath. I have my footswitch sitting on top when not in use. Would be kind of cool to be able to just "kick" it underneath when finished.

Greetings from Northwest Spain... I have been registered for many years, but I had never written anything, since I could solve my doubts and curiosities just by reading. First of all, many thanks to all of you who make this great Forum possible. Today I have a question that I have not been able to solve despite having read several threads about it.
It's about GTX-7 Footswitch.
I'm absolutely in love with my Fender Stage 800 since 2019... A few days ago I read somewhere that this pedal also works with my amp... even though it's sold as an option for Mustangs, and works in the Rumble 40 ... Could somebody confirm if this is really true?
Really works in a Stage 800???

Thank you. The stand came with my house . It was originally for the sound system receiver. We updated it and I kept the stand for my amps.

Greetings from southwest France! I live two hours from San Sebastian. I spent a lot of time in Bilbao about 20 years ago, when I had to work for a living.

It works, but you have to go into the menus and tell the Stage 800 which footswitch you are attaching. It defaults to the MGT-4. You have to select the GTX-7. At least I did with my Studio 40. I assume it's the same for the Stage 800. You can confirm that before purchasing the GTX-7 by checking via the setup menu.

You may want to read through the GTX-7 manual.

FENDER GTX-7 OWNER'S MANUAL Pdf Download

And here's a video describing its use on a Mustang guitar amp. It will function similarly for the Rumbles, but of course with different presets.

Hola, Your Majesty¡ @KingMatt, you are now member #1559 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Please put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Yes, the Stage can use the GTX-7 footswitch. The Rumble Stage & Studio are functionally the same preamp, just different power amps. But, since they can be more complicated than most Rumbles, we ask that you please use your Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread for those questions, answers and discussions. ;)

Those are some beautifully unusual semi-hollow Fender basses there, too! Please tell us a bit about them and yourself, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. You'll fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Rumble On!

Well traded in my trusty 500 for the new Rumble 800! (Not the Stage 800 which I had and IMHO is the worst bass amp Fender ever made!)

I already have a Rumble 800HD head which I use with my 210 or 112 cabs, so I am familiar what this amp can do. Love that it is actually lighter in weight then the 500 due to the Neodymium speakers. Tone wise it sounds awesome, lots of volume, punch and warmth as I expected. Looking forward to start to gig with it!

Thanks for the answer.
The Jazz Bass It's a 2011 Fender Japan JB/HO Thinline Hollowbody... A very good Bass... Mahogany body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard... I upgraded with Nordstrand NJ4 pickups and push-pull pasive controls... Serial/Paralell and two tones whith Orange Drop 0'66 & 0'33...
Very, very versatile...

The other one it's a Maruszczyk Mr. Tee... Ash body and maple neck & fingerboard... Bassculture passive pickup... Sounds like a 57-59 Vintage P Bass, with an extra power punch... The great thing about this bass, aside from its great sound and excellent construction, is that it only weighs 6'6 lbs... Very very happy with my current partners, and the GAS is under control... for now!!!... :D:D:D

Circumstances have conspired against me! I had ordered the Rumble500 and was totally willing to be astounded by and embrace the extra wattage and 10” speakers. Delivery was postpone, waylaid, complicated…mixed up.
And then wouldn’t you know it? The Rumble 200 was available for 40%. Oh the tangled webs we weave. I cancelled one and ordered the other.
When(ever) the Rumble 200c arrives I will put it on top of my R115 and play the blues.

until then…RUMBLE ON!

That was my "stack of choice" until the Tube Bug hit and I came to realize that my gigging days would be limited...BLUES ON, neighbor. Two 15's is where its at ;):bassist:.

I don't have the Rumble 115 any more, but when I had it paired with my Rumble 200 for the full 200 watts, it was absolutely amazing. The coupling effect of the two 15 inch speakers was the best bass tone I have ever had. I bet you'll enjoy yours!

Had this rig for awhile(R200c over R112). Great sound but so few places to use both. Sold the 112.

Nice to see another Stage 800 lover here! I don't get why it garners so much hate with some players. I love it! You really have to do some tweaking but once you find the sweet spots it rocks. Would I play it on tour in an amphitheater? Probably not but then I'd have a 90lb tube head and 8x10 cabs and roadies.

I certainly don't think it's the "worst" bass amp Fender ever put out. Far from it.

I would have sold mine but Fender knocked the heck out of the used marked with their 25% discount. Now I am keeping it for "posterity" and the hope that I can use it in the future.
I sold the R112 'cos someone was really looking for one, and I didn't lose any money on it. Better it should be played through than gather dust-on the custom cover-at my house.

I agree. Until I find someone similar, it serves as a great amp stand for my PF112 and PF20T. I tried it with the 20T and sounded great. It may be a good mix with my PF350 so I will keep it around until I try it out. But it is a great cab and I am not giving it away.
