Help???
Rumble 350 head's volume knob is getting annoyingly scratchy.
I tried to turn it over and over
but no luck still scratchy.
should I open it up and shoot a little deoxit in the pot?
I'm all ears for any suggestions
Pssst.Great and thanks for the product suggestion.
Little known fact: G-Dog has stock in CAIG Deoxit.

(not really)
(AFAIK)
I wish, Gone! Me and hands-on electronics don't git along any better'n me and mechanical stuff. I mean, I can drive a car very well and I can use personal computers pretty good, but I cain't fix the insides of either one of 'em to save my life! (In fact, PC operating systems hate me, so I've learned lotsa tips & tricks there.)This has been really good stuff! Undoubtedly, a lifetime supply for me. Best stuff ever if you play Funky bass.Help???

I can testify!2 100's are funner than one
Three seems a good minimum. Of course, equality affords them similar choices. Two's fine except when it comes to wives...
DeOxIt is all I will use or recommend. We've had reports both ways on this. Some say the pots are sealed and don't respond to cleaning. Others say they successfully cleaned theirs. A very knowledgeable and respected technical consultant has recommended CAIG Deoxit only be used, as most so-called contact cleaners simply don't work, and WD-40 has no place near electronics. Then, too, there are many warnings against spraying too much and causing other problems.
Good luck.
So last week I asked a question and started a long discussion on the DI of my Rumble 100 being post all amp controls. The problem I was having was having to turn my stage volume up far louder than I'd liked to get good signal at the board. At one time I had tried a Sansamp but just didn't have much luck with it, admittedly falls as a personal failure of some sort.
Yesterday we had a gig and I was confounded with how I could improve this. And spoiler alert, this is the "duh" moment so change the channel unless you want to laugh along with me, AT me.
We had the sound system all set up and I connected the DI straight to the board. As another attempt that I hadn't thought of before I turned the gain up to around 3/4 or 3 o'clock on the dial instead of just where I needed the gain for my passive bass. And wa-la, great signal at the board. I was able to set my amp where I wanted it and things were good.
Again, a "duh" moment for something I hadn't thought of before. I usually set the gain where it needed to be and left it at that. Even at the higher level it wasn't clipping and I had good sound FOH. I admit to being no expert but just what I found.
Thanks all for weighing in with suggestions. Thought I'd share in case anyone else came across the same thing. And now I don't have to spend $$ on another amp. I was hovering over the idea of getting a Rumble 40 for our gigs to solve this.
Good luck.Inside the Rumble 350 (only 24 small screws including the 4 fan screws to get cover off)
If you look at the far right pot (vol) there is a little hole on the wiper case where you can
shoot some Deoxit. I will carefully cover surrounding area with paper towel pieces and do a quick short shot or 2 of the deoxit directly into hole and then move wiper quit a few times and see if the problem is resolved.
Likewise. Purchasing a second(since I have my 200c)will have to wait since I just sprung for another bass, though.I can testify!
Just tested and the deoxit worked perfectly. Back in smooth operating service.
