Fender Rumble Club

I got a Tuki cover for mine on ebay. There are a couple other brands that were less expensive (Tuki was $89 + shipping), but I've heard good things about Tuki plus I had some ebay credit to spend. I'm happy with it. The material and construction are quality, plus it is well padded. If interested, just go to ebay and type in "fender rumble 500 cover" in the search.

Or make your own! I used "Softouch" fabric by Marlen Textiles. It is used to protect airplane canopies, among other things. Won't scratch! Durable waterproof nylon duck exterior with a soft spun polyester lining available in 11 colors, 60-inch (1,524 mm) roll width. I ordered mine from Invalid Link Removed. Finish off the edges with .75" (19 mm) Invalid Link Removed which is specially woven to fold in half over external seams.

I also made a few dust covers that can slip over instruments on stands. A small pocket slips over the head and two small flaps are used to center the cover over the body horns. VERY simple. So convenient to just throw on after practice instead of putting away in the case. Charcoal cloth with black binding looks sharp!

Finally got to hear the new rig with a band today, I played my Deluxe Jazz mostly and my MW Mustang on three songs. Both basses sounded great through it and the others thought so as well. I tried the 500 combo on it's own and with the 1-12 cab also. Each time I added the cab, I only had to dial back the volume on the bass. Really filled the room nicely without getting boomy.
Couldn't be happier with the Rumble.

Amazing how much better a bass plays when it sounds right.

It is the very same 15" woofer in both.
Fender Rumble Woofer Talk
Let me just add that the 12" woofer in the new V3 112 cab is a far more robust design with larger voice coil and larger/heavier ceramic ferrite magnet than is found in the Rumble 100 combo. I can no longer edit/update the Rumble Woofer Talk post, or I would add that in.

I was playing through the 500 combo again the other day when I was reminded how huge that amp sounds. It's so huge. I don't know how people are saying they need more bottom end and are adding cabs and such to make it happen. I already need to put the bass and low mids at like 3 to avoid from killing everyone on the street. Heh. I do play flats but the 500 is such a huge sounding amp. If anything, I try my hardest to make it sound smaller. Live, it sounds great, but in rehearsal, that amp threatens to overload my room.

Still working on getting my dual Rumble 2x12" set up for my Aguilar head. Have a feeling that will be just perfect.

Anyone have a line on where to get a cover for the Rumble 500? Don't see one on the Fender site, or anywhere else for that matter.

If I was any more skilled with a sewing machine, or if I knew someone personally that was, I would make / have made covers from Harbor Freight moving blankets. They are cheap, rugged, and super easy on whatever they are surrounding. I use them for noise control in my studio and the softness is way better than I expected.

I just get my covers from Custom Amp Covers, which I guess is the same people as Tuki Covers. I didn't go for padding because I just use my cover to avoid scratches. I don't actually expect a fine layer of padding to protect it from drops. What am I gonna do, drop a 30 pound amp? They can make a cover for any amp, but they already have the measurements for the Rumble 500. Mine fits like a glove.
