Fender Rumble Club

... Been thinking about a cover for my v3 Rumble 100, but not many make them, and they're expensive to ship to my part of the world as well, if they ship at all. Think I'll probably go the DIY route and make my own :)
Make a simple drawing (or a formal one) of the dimensions you want and take it around to places that make awnings, shades, etc. Or just take the amp to them. I work sometimes for a sail maker and we get walk-ins all the time who want a cover for some odd item or another. Just keep it simple; added features like snaps, straps, handles, Velcro, etc. start adding cost in a hurry. The cover for my v2 350 combo was basically 3 pieces (left-top-right, front, back) with a few strategic cut-outs.

I know, shipping is just ridiculous. They could put it in a large manila envelope and post it to you in the mail for $5!
Ugh! I've had occasional issues with domestic shipping. I've got things with expedited shipping (at extra cost) even though I didn't need it or want it. I've had items where the shipping was more than the product. Some places don't offer a choice of shipping.

It doesn't make sense to me, so it would be cool to get confirmation. But you're welcome.

Aha! The different location for the handle does make sense, I think. Judging by the difference in weight between the 500 and 200 head, which is about half a pound, the handle would need to be in a slightly different position (assuming that the same components are used in the combo) for it to balance correctly when carried. In the combo, the amplifier parts are at the top and to the rear, so a heavier amp section would shift the balance point of the amp, making it awkward to carry.

It doesn't explain the price difference, though :)

Totally Agree & Feel Your Pain! I ordered some acoustic foam from Parts-Express in Ohio. It weighed like five chicken feathers. $9.99 shipping! Rat Bastigages! Grrr!

Just acquired a V3 Rumble 100, like the tone & the weight a lot! I'm feeling like the 2x10 Rumble 500 might be where I eventually end up after moving my current 'big & heavy' cab...for anyone who has used both the 200 and 500, do you feel they are comparable in terms of 'luggability' -- carrying, transport, etc.?

I played a gig saturday walked across grass in an air cast on my right ankle carrying my 500 combo. Against my chest no problems at all. It was an adventure with the cast on, but the 500 is so light. I also transport it in the trunk of my camry, it's freakin awesome. That's my 2 cents. Don
