Fender Rumble Club

Not padded but a really sturdy material. This a quote from their website...."Our covers are produced from a very durable and abrasion resistant Vinyl-backed (PVC) Polyester canvas material, which will withstand continuous water flow with no adverse affects!"

Great for rain, dust and pet protection, keeps the cats from thinking its a new scratching post. Well worth the $45.

Rain is a concern for me when transporting between the house and a jam room, gig etc.... Not that worried about dust accumulation as it gets enough use to keep the dust knocked down, and pet protection is a concern, as well as scuffs from say bumping into a wall or being pushed along a truck bed during transport. Which is why I was asking about the full surround...

Big Hoss, I think this cover would do the job for ya except for the back of the pick up truck, sounds like a job for a road case as even a padded cover would not provide that much protection. But to carry in and out of a gig on a rainy night and keep kitty and fido from doing any damage it will work just fine. I like to keep my gear covered when not in use so my combo only comes out for rehearsal and gigs. I live in townhouse so I use my PJB combo at home, does not rattle the walls like the Rumble.

Yeah, I am in a house, my next door neighbors I poll frequently to see if I am bothering them, they never notice, teenagers and all...

The music room / office is kept closed off from the pets, so not much risk there. My current method is movers blankets and bungee cords. I am not talking about stuff tossed willy nilly, and gear unsecured while it transit (I am OCD about lashing cargo down due to HUGE fines in Texas for failure to secure load), my biggest concern is scrapes and scuffs moving and loading. The movers blanket thing works, I just wanted a better method is all.

BTW, one movers blanket, and one long bungee cord per piece is all it takes I set the cord out, blanket over it, then set the amp or cab on top. And wrap it kind of like wrapping a Christmas present from one side... Okay weird analogy. I am going to have to photograph what I do, I can't explain it!

I sometimes will crank it a bit so ran into a neighbor and he said " hey your the bass player, turns out he plays guitar and now we jam in the backyard on weekends.

My neighbors take turns killing insurgents and raising teenagers. (Both military reserve, he is on deployment now, she will be going a couple of months after he gets home...). Not the most musically inclined folks... The guy on the other side IS musical, and LOUD but I have no interest in playing Tejano music, and he has no interest in Country, Blues, or Rock... He has a habit of setting up his PA in the garage and twisting the main up on work nights when he decides to have a fiesta... Worst part, he's lousy at grilling and even worse and picking beer.

There's a retiree across the street that's a drummer, we keep trying to get him engaged on jamming, but so far, no luck...

Yeah... if you lived in a place with a Home Owners Association, You could file a grievance.
You ever take him over some slow-smoked brisket or your favorite brew?

Find out what his favorite beer is!

Yep. Brisket, Fajitas, Kartoffeln, Bratwurst, and Shiner Bock!

He's been a bit tough to get to know. Seems a bit nervous around the neighborhood, but he's been relaxing a bit as of late as he sees me tinker with the cars, says hello etc... as we BBQ, and play...

There's a guy around about 2 blocks from me that plays drums, but wow... no thanks, too much drama. WAY too much drama. (Early 30s, been married / divorced 3x already, and one of his exes is flat out psycho stalker that makes things miserable...

I use overdrive with vintage. But the gain totally roll off.
Overdrive 2 o'clock,
level 9 o'clock
I get some warm dirty sound with roll off tone pot While I play with pick or finger style between pickup and bridge.

I use the overdrive with the vintage button engaged as well, but I have my overdrive set for quite a bit more dirt for a really aggressive tone to suit the songs I’m playing. I turn off the overdrive for a few of the tunes that need something a bit more mellow. I also use the overall Gain knob a bit more, @ 9 o’clock for my Precision bass and closer to Noon for my Jazz.

I'm feeling lazy today. I have a gig in the evening and I should carry my 500H + 115 by myself. The place and the band both are small. A drummer with 16" bass drum. He is playing with rods. A guitar player (40W Marshall,) a saxophone, a harp and me. What do you think, would I manage the gig with my Rumble 40? There is a small PA with just two active speakers. Should I try it? :)

+1 Would love to know how it goes if you choose to bring the 40.
