Fender Rumble Club

I have been using my 100 at our Tuesday jam lately. Last night I took my 200. I was so impressed! The 15 and the horn together really did it for me. I can't say that I "hear" the horn, but it must be there, right? The 100 will stay set up for home practice. The 200 has earned its rightful place on stage. I wholeheartedly recommend the Rumble 200 to anyone looking for a great medium power bass combo! Glad I decided to bring it last night.

+1 on the 200c being the idea medium size rig for medium size gigs.It seems I'll be purchasing the 112c for rehearsals.SCOTT TRUESDELL said at post #9231 that ''he maintained you need one of every rumble from the 40 on up and cabs for flexibility and power.''In my situation these words of wisdom holds so true for me.My 200c sounded so sweet at half volume and upwards(sweetspot),but it was too much.the 112c should be just perfect.40 at home,500 and cabs for large venues, more than that requires foh support and I'm done-(I HOPE).

Has anyone had the opportunity to play the Fender Rumble V3 4X10 cabs? I have never used Fender cabs before. I've mainly used Ampeg & Eden cabs with Ampeg heads. I am wondering about the quality of these cabs. I saw a 410 at my local music store for $500... whereas other 410 cabs are considerably more expensive. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a pair of the 410s that I use with the R500 head. Really liking the tone and volume I get from that rig, but have not played any other 410s to compare them to. Only minor complaint that I have is that the grill frame could be a little stronger. I don't know how many places stock them, so hard to do a demo before purchase, but if you buy from a place w/30 day return, and you don't care for it, ship it back. ;)

Cheers,

I haven't felt this good about owning amp / cab since 2002 when I got my Acoustic Image Clarus I and Mesa Roadhouse 4x10.
Of course I have a '64 Daphne Blue AVRI Jazz to use as a test subject. Funny how an amp can make you enjoy playing all over again or at the least let you hear what great tone is.
Yeah Baby! Testify! That's an endorsement of High Praise if ever I heard one! :bassist: Rumble Forth & Conquer :bassist:

Has anyone tried to daisy chain small (40 or 100j Rumble combos?

I have one R40. I'm starting in a new acoustic band and I'm too lazy to carry the combo between two rehearsal places. I'm thinking of buying another combo. My options are 40 or maybe 100. The R100 would be more powerfull. However, I've been gigging with my R40 many times in small places and only once I regretted not bringing my 500H and cab.

What do you think, if I'd buy another R40 and if one wouldn't be enough, I would daisy chain them. Has anyone tried this with the new Rumbles? The problem I see, there is no FX loop in R40 and the line out is after master volume. Is it still possible to slave them or would it be better to use an ABY swithch?

@eudaimonia good see you around! I'd pick the Rumble 100 for the greater versatility. And yes, you could daisy chain the 100 to the 40, but not 40-to-40.

Yes, you're right, unfortunately.

How about ABY box? I've never played with two amps but I believe it would give me more power and more spread. With two R40's, wouldn't it be like like 80W 2x10 stack? Any downsides on this?

Yeah an ABY pedal or something like a ZOOM B3. Being in Germany your pricing is higher. When you factor in the expense of another piece of equipment, it makes the Rumble 100 more cost effective.

My R40 gets used practically everyday - turned on when I get home and turned off when it's time for bed. Often times used as monitor/output for the laptop, as the "BEATS" audio in the laptop is quite underwhelming. That R40 really brings the low end through even though it's practically non-existent on the laptop.

I mentioned a while back that I've been having a lot of fun with my "JamMan Stereo" looper/recorder (another Talkbass GAS item), and am about to fill up my first SDHC card with the 99 "channels" (have two more 32GB cards ready to go). Find the song I like on YouTube, send it into and save it on the JamMan. And did I mention how the R40 really brings the Bass?... I'm looking forward to hooking the JamMan up to R500 rig next time I set that up - 10+ hours of great tunes at 100+ dB is going to be a heck of a party!

I'd thought that the R40 and R500 would suffice, but it would sure be nice to leave the R40 at work to mess around at break/lunch, and get an R100 for the living room. Didn't someone say that ideally, you need to have one of each? :D

Rumble on!

Cheers,

I just got home from an old time Opry style jam session. I knew there would be a bass player, so I took my Telecaster and Deluxe Reverb. The bass player had one of the new Rumble 60's. Okay, he had a very old totally beat up rumble 60 that still did the job great. If our v3 Rumbles end up being so roadworthy, we have made good investments.

Linnin, you would have loved his bass. A real original 70's Japanese Ibanez Jazz style bass.............left handed!
