Fender Rumble Club

I don't know about louder; I've yet to really crank these suckers up.
But the 200c with the 115 is a fantastic piece of kit!
Loud enough at 9:00 to shake everything in my living room including the s*** that's bolted down!
Loud enough to warrant another dancin' banana!

I really tried to stop coming here but...but I just can't!

thats interesting, I had a look last night and didnot see any V2 Rumble items. It must be tailored by region.
I'm in Australia.
So, I did a little follow up googling and found out about something called a 'Rumble 208 Cab'... colour me intrigued.
It seems it may even be a better option for me than a small combo for use with my low volume, no drummer, group. Light weight, plenty (500?) of watt capacity. Better option in that I could utilise my existing head(s) and cab with it in various combinations to sort the mood at the time.

I couldnt see it anywhere, but I'm assuming (I know!) that it is 8ohm?
Also, I would like to be able to combine it with my 410 (US Eminence drivers, 400w) at some point if needed. What is the thought on this cab in combination with a 410, I have searched a bit through TB and found people combining with V2 112s and the like and plenty of general love - but unsure if I would be committing a mortal sin by combining with a 410 on occasion. :)

I'll start trawling ebay, gumtree etc I think, unless I am way off beam.

So what is it you need? And what is it you desire?
Sorry for the late response-had to take a break for a while to think about all this. Bought the r40 for band practice but the better I sounded the louder our band got. No sweat, the r40 stays home for the bedroom, garage, backyard functions. Purchased the r200c for rehearsals and gigs, even though I turned it down it seemed to me that I was ''choking it back'' about almost half way up and more she is so sweet so I purchased the 210 extension for more volume for gigging. Now I want the r100c for band rehearsals and it stays there but I'm not sure about up coming spring/summer indoor/outdoor medium to large gigs they say we ''may have''-It seems logical to me to get the r100c next month then maybe the 500 head and another rumble cab after that for gig fire power. Everything gets started mid may. MAYBE THE R200c w/ ext cab do can it. It sounded mighty loud at last wk ends test run outside but no crowd noise. Then I may put the r100c on hold for now. [still deciding].

Just speaking from experience, but combining a 2x8 with a 4x10 is not a very good idea. The surface area disparity would prove too much for the 2x8 and it would suffer a horrible death. JMHO

I could see similar SPLs in comparing a R200c w/extension cab vs. R500c alone. Let's face it, doubling the watts yields +3 decibels, as does adding a second cab at same watts. So you have the full 200 Watts + 3db for the ext. cab, vs. 350 Watts through one cab (+ 3db for "doubling" the watts). Both are essentially 200 Watts + 3 db.

If I already had a R200c and wanted to get another rig, it would be a no-brainer - R500 head or combo. More options. My first was the R200c, but then I found TB and exchanged that for R500 head and R410 cab. Then added a second cab, R40, and R100.... :D

Cheers,

Yes, it is a second generation Rumble cabinet offered from 2011-2013. Made in Mexico with made in USA Eminence 8" neo woofers. It was made to go on top of the 112 neo. They were both $400 USD new. In conjunction with the Rumble 350 head it made quite an impressive mini-stack. I chose to forego the Rumble 208 and instead went with a pair of 112's. Both cabinets are 8 ohm. They were not hot sellers like the 4 ohm V2 Rumble 410 was which sold hand-over-fist all three years. When the new V3 Rumble line came out in 2014 there was a mad dash to snatch up all the remaining V2 410's.

If you pop the 208 on top of a 410, you'll hear it, but nobody else will. You'll also actually have less power going to your 410's. Even though your amp will be putting out more power at 4 ohms only half of it will be going to the 410's the other half will be going to the 2x8's. Sure you can do it that way, but it's not going to be a stupendous sonic event.

Sure if you can pick one up cheap, instead of say a new Rumble 100. And the Rumble 208 has the Rumble magnetic attachment system so your Rumble head will be secure.
Yes, the shop I'm checking has
208 @ $324; and the V3s:
100 @ $551,
40 @ $343;
112 @ $551;
115 @ $454.

All with rent to buy and lay by options. I just need to work out how to get it without incurring wrath. lol

Went under the hood on my new v3 100 to install some dampening material inside the cabinet. Much less boomy after taking care of that. Also got a good look at the Chinese-made Eminence 12"...not half bad, but wondering if an S2012 somewhere down the road would be an improvement. Are there published specs on the stock speaker anywhere?

Yes, the Eminence Basslite S2012 neo is magic. I love mine. No, there are no published specs. "If it sounds good, it is good" ~ Duke Ellington

But that is a Special Design® Eminence speaker! How could replacing it make it any better? It is a Special™ Design©!
I'd leave it alone, JMRO (just my Rumble opinion).
