This is something I tried last night at our open mic/jam. A bass drum pedal on both drums. I ended up switching the two drums around because it is easier to keep in time and coordinate with the bass when you play the bass drum with your left foot if you are right handed. I would usually play the bass drum with my right foot with a full set. When I played guitar and sang, the other musician I co-host with had no problem adapting to playing both at the same time, but he is a much more accomplished drummer. For any drum enthusiasts, that is a 1965 Ludwig Supraphonic snare; the snare equivalent of a vintage Precision. Mapex Orion Bass Drum. I guess I am the bassist/drummer now!!

To keep it simple at first, I just walked in time with the song. That put the bass drum on the one and the snare on the three. It was just enough to add a nice feel to the songs. No problem with the drummer over-playing....

Interesting, how was it set up? Did you hit the snare drum with the same bass drum pedal?

And how is the pitting on the Supra?

Two bass pedals for now. I intend to put a stick on the pedal and get the snare more flat like it normally would be. The Ludwig is in pretty decent shape for being 51 years old.

One thing I concentrated on was being the bass player first. If anything had to suffer it needed to be the drums. By the end of the night it was working pretty well.

Hmm, it's got me thinking about an 18 inch tom and a piccolo snare. Nice and compact too. I like the walking idea! Brilliant!

I had control over the drummer which was a first!! We are low volume, so my Rumble 200 isn't working very hard at the open mic/jam. But it just sounds so good.

I was doing some double bass hits later in the night. Locking in with the drums has never been easier.

- leave one at rehearsal and have one at home.
- have more power if ever needed.

I have the 200c. It's loud enough by far for rehearsal.

For my 2nd, do I:
- get the 200c
- used 500c

Having two the same is tempting. Do one distorted, one clean. Nice match.

Or is the extra power of the 500c worth it? I do love the sound of the 15" speaker. But I may love the 500 with the 2 10s.

I will be deciding shortly. Any input appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I did bring a high-hat in case a "real" drummer showed up. And the beer is not sitting on top of my Rumble any more because of what I learned right here in the Rumble Club.

I have the 100 and the 200. If I were ever to have a third one, it'd have to be the 500. A lot of love for the 500 in the Rumble Club. For outdoor events, I wish I had one.

May well get the 500 combo. Then you will have both and can pick and choose to tailor your tone according to your daily whim!
And at some later time, get extension cabs for both: a 115 and a 210. Mix or Match! It's up to you!
Nothing succeeds like excess!

I don't know about louder; I've yet to really crank these suckers up.
But the 200c with the 115 is a fantastic piece of kit!
Loud enough at 9:00 to shake everything in my living room including the s*** that's bolted down!
Loud enough to warrant another dancin' banana!
