How are the hats? And I'm interested to know how they were packed for delivery, just in a box?

The hats came nested together in a sufficiently large box with zero damage.
The broad tweed guitar strap needed some tailoring to fit the contour of the fedora crown. I just took in a simple 1/4" dart in the middle and then let the ends take up a similar amount. The ends will be covered by a bow-type decoration on the left side.
But I'm not satisfied with this combo. Both the light straw fedora and the darker one do not offer enough contrast to show off the tweed band. My experimental hat is not completed yet. Due to my dissatisfaction with the contrast, they have fallen to a lower priority. I guess I need to get a dark fedora to showcase the tweed band better.
But this is a compromise; I still want a fedora made with Fender tweed material.

P.S. I got my IRS refund and went to my local GC to see about getting a Bassman 500 hybrid head.
Good News: They said if I bought it with my GC "Gear Card" I could get the 15% off right now and not have to wait 'til Memorial Day.
Bad News: Availability is not until June. Same with Musicians Friend. Zzounds has 'em in stock. Meh... I got some great-sounding Rumbles to tide me over... I can wait!

Well, I have to exchange my Rumble 500 head. The volume knob and gain are scratchy and the OD channel quit working. Worked fine yesterday, but today, notta. Damnest thing.

If I had those issues with the head I would use some electrical contact spray 1st and would not go any further. fender has a ( 5)yr limited transferable warranty with proof of purchase and they pay for shipping charges to them- you pay shipping charges back to you. check that at your local authorized fender dealer. FWIW- if you go that route ask the store manager if he can let you borrow a ''loaner amp'' to get you by until your amp is repaired or replaced, he just may but he don't have to-every store is different about those kind of things.
That's a bite to say the least. By my count of all the overdrives that have gone kaput, I think this either 4 or 5. That's all Rumbles 40 and up. Still it's infuriating when it happens to you. Get a return authorization and send it to your nearest Fender authorized service center.
It is from an online dealer. I contacted them and the are sending a call a return label and will send out a new head.
I have not finished reading this entire form - but has anyone figured out a way to rack a rumble 500 head.

oh yeah can I get in and get a number - luv my new Rubble. I got the rumble 500 and the new rumble 2x10 - but actually I like the 500 with my old 70's peavey 1x15 cabinet.
