Fender Rumble Club

I'd like to join the club. I've read about a third of this thread (starting with the V3 era), and have found it to be an excellent and friendly source of information.

I've had a Rumble 25 v3 for approximately 6 months as a practice amp, and have been very pleased with the tone. After my surf band broke up, I sold my gigging rig to pay some bills, but it looks like I'll be getting back into the game soon with an R500c.

Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club @Matthew Fisher! :woot:
You are member #640 :hyper:  Rumble On!

Short gig report.

Brought both basses, but used the jazz over the P due to the boom. Holy moly, no trouble being heard. Very loud and pronounced. But I had major stage coupling going on. I need to figure out how to tame that. Very bottom heavy/ boomy. Had lots of punch and was easily too loud at points. Never had to struggle with volume, just the boom.

Over all, I'm satisfied. It will be much better once I get a handle on it and get it dialed in. Very easy to load in and out. My drummer and lead guitar player loved it. Our violinist/cello player is interested in trying it out for herself. She has an older Rumble 100 115 combo with the red lights, she is having a hard time lugging around. It may just get left at the rehearsal spot.

Was this with the Rumble 500 head + 2x10 cab? What sort of band and venue was it? Sorry if everybody already knows this information.

She will love the Rumble 100 1x12 combo! Or she might like a Fender Champion 100 which is far more suited to her frequency range, and has some really happening digital effects built in.

Thinking of paring up my fender rumble 200 head with 2 1x12 eden ex112 cabs ... anyone here used those cabs ??? Reason why im thinking abou those , $50 dollars cheaper ... about same weight same watts ... what you all think ?
That's an interesting choice. I'm not sure, but I think Eden started that whole modern industrial look. I'm not a fan of carpeted ('ratfur') cabinets. I do like Eden's high end amps, and their 410 cab is legendary. I have not heard the EX112, but If never heard a dual (whizzer) cone speaker that I liked. Invalid Link Removed
It also doesn't have Rumble's unique magnetic head attachment system. For $100 more I'd just go ahead with a pair of Fender Rumble 112's.

Sorry, I should have recapped that.

Yes, it was the 500 head and 210cab. Smaller venue that holds maybe 100 to 150ish. There was probably 60 or so there. It is a neat place, know for gourmet grilled cheese and local brews on tap.

The stage is a platform about 3 feet high about 30' wide and about 20'deep and all wood enclosure made from reclaimed wood.
Last night was all original music I call "slow core". Think Mazzy Star meets Wilcos' slower more noise type stuff, for lack of a better discription. I'm sure there is a better one, I'm just at a loss right now.
