Took me a minute to figure out where he was talking about.
Dikes are flood walls I think.
Same as a levee.
Levee isn't nearly as funny, though.
Maybe I was being too sensitive, but to see "Suck it up, Buttercup" bothered me a bit. Yes, My local shop is INCREDIBLE, they have fixed amps that I never thought fixable, these guys are fantastic! And I have also talked to Fender's Customer Service, and they told me that it is what it is.....if I wasn't happy with the closest repair center, I should go to the next....which is 60 miles away. I'm sorry, not trying to be a pain, but I've never bought a "new" amp, and had to have it repaired....and then to have to go that far away!!I don't think @Linnin meant any harm. I saw it is kind of a light hearted comment about 30 miles being a problem. You local shops might be able to repair it, but I don't know if they can get parts or not. Have you called Fender Customer Service to discuss the fact that the authorized shop is too busy to look at your amp? I would suggest that should be your next step.
Munkey, this is exactly what I was saying!! But I still love Rumbles....have a 500 combo, 500 head, 210 cab, 115 cab, & 40 combo! The difference between Fender authorized repairs and not, the repair shop has to do Fender "Tech Classes" to get that authorization. Use to be they had to do them once a year to be on top of the latest and greatest. Not sure now, I haven't worked in a music store in about 12 years.
Like it was said before, Fender does that to make sure the right techs they trust do the work and parts are in control. With that being said, my experience has been most all the "Fender Authorized" Repair shops have been poopie holes and sometimes have nothing to do with musical instruments or sales. One time I had to deal with a pawn shop! They didn't even do repairs, they "had a guy" they sent them to. Total BS. I called and complained to Fender and after going round and round and trying 3 other shops, all of which were out of town, Fender had me ship it to a shop in Nashville, I had to pay for shipping there and took over 4 months to get it back. It was a Warranty repair. I was sore about it, but I still love Fender.
Oh no, not the livestock !
Only Clooney movie I like!A seriously great and under-appreciated movie.
The music is awesome!
Love it .... Watched it probably 15 times !A seriously great and under-appreciated movie.

Can somebody explain that American thing - playing in the church? Gospel and such a thing or something else? Maybe some clip to see what is it about, please.
Do It!Thinking about picking up a Rumble 500 head to run with my 2x10 and 1x15 SWR cabs (both 8 ohm). Anyone have any experience with this set up? I'm looking for a good reliable head that I can keep for a long while!
Church is big business in the States. Music adds to the razzmatazz.
I thought Hillsong was in Oz, Oh well. Contemporary Christian music is a growing genre.Well--music is part of praise and worship. Many churches play modern music for praise and worship. It is done very well in a very famous church in NZ.
